At the AHI benefit this past August, when Stevie introduced Jana, she said it was her birthday and she was 25. I, too, thought she was older than that, so either she really is 25 or Stevie was lying.

I could have swown that I read that she was in her 30s. There was an article about her and her husband who got a job playing trumpet (I think) for Bette Midler. I think that it was there but I am not 100% sure.

EDIT: I found this info on her website.
She also manages, books, and stars in a successful band of her own over the past 11 years called "Jana and The One" out of Santa Barbara, California.

That would mean she started the band at 14. I don't think so.

I thought Jana was older than 25 too. No offense to her coz I think she's pretty but she looks way older than 25 to me.

To have her resume there is no way that she could be 25. That is one of the reasons why I thought she was about 35.

Maybe Stevie was kidding? Did she laugh? Peeps do that when they don't want to admit their age.

I didn't see the resume while I was typing. Yep, she looks more like 35 and that would make her 24 when she started that band?

I read all her answers and I thought she was fine. She's a kid. She sounds naive and sweet. Her comments on the environment were more logical than what I have heard out of the mouths of most elected officials, idealistic though they may be.
Many artists are idiots when it comes to politics. I mean, come on, Stevie said something to the effect that Bill Clinton was too young to be president, because he was near her age and she couldn't keep track of who was on what bus

Jana is a decent back up singer and I think she is kind of cute.

I totally agree with this statement!

I wouldn't exactly call her annoying... she's probably doing a few people some good, which is fine. It's just not something I would expect on Stevie's site! I never understood why anyone would ask Jana questions anyway. No offense to Jana, but she just doesn't have the history there to be able to share some insight as far as I'm concerned. Give her a decade or two....

No that's the thing, Stevie didn't laugh. And I was as close to her as a human being could possibly be. Heck I was closer to her than her bandmates on the stage with her! The reason I remember she didn't laugh is because when she said it, I was pretty surprised, so I took a good look at Stevie and Jana to see their reactions and neither one had an out-of-the-ordinary look on their faces. But apparently it was some sort of inside joke.

I was 25 on my last birthday.

The one before that too.
