Infertility
Sundays used to depress me, but not so much any more
Kids that have no friends or are picked on
The elderly

Probably many more, but if I think too hard, I'll really get depressed.

Nope, sorry, there's no excuse, even to commute. I walk to work every day, so I bought cute flat boots. They are Prada, and they're this season!

ooohhh, I see how you are. Sorry, I didn't realize.

Cute flat boots aren't the same as really good running shoes, as far as comfort goes. Bless your heart, though.

Okay. I know my tennies are way more comf.
But then, my legs hurt all the time, my knees are a little shmucked up, and my ankles, and a few times a year I strain my lower back. Also, I don't have a car, so I always get around using my feet, somehow. I walk a lot. So, that's just me.
But it's true, you can find perfectly adequately comfortable flat shoes that...well....don't look stupid with your tights and skirt.

unrequited love

physical and emotional abuse

driving down Beach Boulevard in MS

thinking about New Orleans

seeing pictures of places that no longer exist in LA or MS

ignorance/prejudice

capital punishment

death of loved ones

There are many more, but that last one seems to be the biggest.

I don't know why, but for some reason that just struck me as depressing & I began to despair of the ways of the world, & of all her inhabitants therein.

At the time, I was on a Beethoven late piano sonata kick. So I was listening to the Op. 111 Arietta adagio molto hoochie-coochie cantabile over & over & over again.

Well, that is what the dandies and wind are made to do and for It was nature/God at its purist form.

As for the Beethoven - that always has some emotional effect on me, and I love every minute of it. Though this tread reminds me more of Kansas' rhetorical musings while presumably stoned in Dust in the Wind, farily recently covered by the oddly expressioned Sara Brightman.

Old photographs of loved ones no longer with us.

Abortion.

How we as a country generally cast aside the elderly.

Try to sneak a peak at The Enquirer this week. The headline? "TEST TUBE BABY."

I nearly choked on the cider sample I was sloshing back when I saw it at the market.

A few months back, my tutor told me that a baby girl had fallen from the fifth floor of her apartment building that morning. I almost cried right there! I think it was my time of the month.
