What would have been cool for them to do on this tour, is if they had started out last year with just a small handful of new songs, then alternated one or two additional songs, here and there, as the tour progressed.

You know, start out with "Gypsy" in the set, and then replace it sometimes with "Destiny Rules" or "Thrown Down."
Same thing with "Stand Back"... do the song, but alternate it for some shows with "Everybody Finds Out."

Well I don't think she has no fun with her new songs. She really has fun with SYW this tour and that song also seems to be the most well received new song. Come doesn't count because you are basicly forced to give a standing ovation for a fifteen minute guitar solo, whether you enjoyed it or not.

I think she enjoys performing the new ones, but I do also agree that she has a comfort-zone. And I think that if it seems a song isn't going over really well, she feels she has to drop it, rather than continuing to do it until people are familiar with it.

By the way, I think "Destiny Rules" would have stayed this time, if it weren't for the throat problems she was having.
I can't remember if it was Brett in his Q&A or Cory in one of her Tour Diaries, but one of them mentioned that, given the low register of the song, it was straining her vocal chords too much with the problems she was having... so it had to be dropped.

Stevie does always seem possibly a little too concerned with a public reaction I think. This came across in the DR doco when she is talking about sales and target markets and stuff and like that.

Maybe they will be more comfortable performing them on the next tour...

RTTG could easily become a Fleetwood Mac classic. That RTTG in COlumbus is in my live playlist on ever cd.
I totally agree...Any chance you could direct me to the live version????

I reall think there are quite a few songs on SYW that would be good live but haven't had the chance (Thrown Down, Miranda, Murrow(In My Dreams), EFO, Smile At You as well as RTTG)

According to the band, they felt like that song (along with DR) went over like a lead balloon in concert. So, they dropped it. Go figure.
I asked Brett why it was dropped and he said because the concert just went on for way too long with it in there.
