And there it begins. In the summer interview he said "on the first of 2005", now it is sometime this year and so it goes and so it goes...
Gerald, getting nervous now about the bet?

He can go to Sanctuary. If they'll release a Mick Fleetwood solo album, they'll have no qualms releasing a Lindsey Buckingham one.

True, BUT he has the Fleetwood name. When you hear "Fleetwood" you think Fleetwood Mac. Unless you're us or you realize the supreme genius that is Lindsey, when you hear "Buckingham," you think "Palace"

I would be surprised if Mick sold 20,000 copies of "Something Big." It's not exactly an album that would get a lot of promotion or be easily found at the local Wal-Mart.

So, I say that if Mick Fleetwood can get a record released, Lindsey will have no problems getting one of his released. It's just a matter of him realizing that a big label like Warners doesn't want to release his solo stuff.

I don't doubt that it didn't sell well--I just mean that his name is more widely recognizable than Lindsey's. And yes, as I said earlier in this thread, Lindsey needs to learn that in Warners eyes, he's not a viable solo artist. When he'll come to that realization? Who knows. I hope this is a sign that he has but I suppose we'll have to wait and see what 05' brings us

Default But he does have his Soundstage performance

Which will air a little later this year.
And he did seem interested in promoting that.
So, people could learn his name (again--as they did in 97, which was the right time for GOS--which was "95% done"--to be released).
So, if he hurries his little tushie up and finishes what he's creating now (with the help of a whole bucket of non-perfectionist pills) the Lindsey Buckingham World Tour would be the next logical step (obviously, someone's slipping anti-cynic stuff in my coffee. I'm not normally this delusional).

I don't know. I suppose i'm a little more doubtful simply for the fact that with every tour he's on, he's garnered with critical acclaim as a guitarist and then it seems as though his name is forgotten once again -_- (insert some "no one knows my naaame...no one knows my naaame..." HERE) He could totally ride the coat tails of the Fleetwood Mac tour and get something out but again, as you were saying, perfectionist Lindsey--bless his heart--probably will take another 8 years making it "just so."

Man. I'm a Debbie Downer Pass one of your pills, please

I am not keeping any hopes up. I did have a dream a week ago that Lindsey was doing a special show in New York City on the 30th but I don't know what month it was.

I was there however and I don't remember much else.
