Thumbs up

Good question! You really will regret having asked me that. I love to make lists. With that said, I cannot group bands, solo female, and solo male together so here is my list of all three:

Bands or Groups:
1. Fleetwood Mac (I'm sorry--I couldn't make a top-10 list and not see them at number one.)
2. Heart
3. Bon Jovi
4. Beatles
5. Simon and Garfunkel
6. Supremes (don't laugh)
7. Bee Gees
8. Matchbox 20
9. Mama's and the Papa's
10. CCR

Females (solo):
1. Stevie
2. Melissa Etheridge
3. Natalie Merchant
4. Bonnie Raitt
5. Cyndi Lauper
6. Janis Joplin
7. Tina Turner
8. Cher
9. Celine Dion
10. Carole King

Males (solo):
1. Bob Dylan
2. Elton John
3. Bruce Springsteen
4. James Taylor
5. Billy Joel
6. Joe Cocker
7. Bob Seger
8. George Harrison
9. Paul McCartney
10. John Mellencamp

Thanks! That was fun!

Arghhh!! I forgot Dire Straits!! I can't believe I did that. Oh, well, lol...if it HAS to be only ten, then take out Def Leppard.

This is tough, because I like a lot of different bands.

(1) Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band , of course, and all their solo efforts too, but other than that:

(2) The Doors

(3) Janis Joplin (all of her bands--Big Brother, Full Tilt Boogie, etc.) and Prince (all his forms). Sorry but third had to be a tie; I couldn't choose!

(4) Rolling Stones

(5) The Who

(6) Simon and Garfunkel

(7) Bob Dylan

(8) Jefferson Airplane

(9) The Grateful Dead

(10) The Eagles/CCR/The Beatles (tie)

This is really hard, because other than FM and The Rolling Stones, I don't really have specific favorites. I just like to listen to pretty much all kinds of rock. But I'll give it a try:

The Rolling Stones
The Beatles
U2
REM
Sister Hazel
Sheryl Crow
Alanis Morissette
Eric Clapton
Heart
Queen

Hey, what's wrong with DD? LOL I like their stuff! BTW, I like Roxette too, I have their greatest hits CD.

Hmm...let's see YOUR list..LOL

Queen - AWESOME...I have the greatest hits set.
BeeGees - AWESOME...the only good thing about Sat. Night Fever, IMO
Genesis - AWESOME...I have Phil's greatest hits...which includes Genesis songs...
Dire Straits - AWESOME...Mark's voice is nothing to sneeze at, but his guitar work is PHA-NOMINAL!
Radiohead - I don't listen to/own their CD's.
Simon & Garfunkel - AWESOME...I love Art's voice.
Doobie Bros - I don't own their CD's, but I know some of their songs, and Michael McDonald has a cool voice!
ABBA - I'm not a fan, but they are okay...my dad likes em!
Simply Red - I only know like one or two of their songs....but cool!
Roxette - I own their greatest hits CD.

DARNIT....can't find anything crappy in your list to make fun of!

This is weird. I really like Duran Duran a lot but the opposite is true of Roxette, I kind of hate them fiercely. :^)

Nobody seems to have mentioned Peter Green's Splinter Group or John McVie's Gotta band. Hmmm. Or did I not read carefully.
