The Insider news release say they will be in mp3 format. Again, I'll be buying them. I was totally serious about that "bigger picture" thing I mentioned earlier, so don't anybody even ask me to share these particular tracks.

...WE would never think to ask someone to share the tracks right? Brian J.

Yes, I can be a hypocrite. But I'm sure I'll find another way to make up favors some times.

This is odd indeed. Releasing them as wma files would just make someone (i.e., me) do a little extra work to convert them to mp3. What they should do is offer the songs for free in non-downloadable form. So, you could listen to them, but you would have to access the server every time. A lot of bands have done that.

I guess in this case the label figures it can get extra money by offering songs to fans who will still go out and buy the album.

BINGO!!!

But they are in a big mistake if they actually think that everyone is going to pay for those... There's obviously going to be trading and downloading from P2P sites even. Why do they bother?

OMG, they have done everything wrong with this album: lack of promotion, songs leaked or presented in short form in television instead of a commercial single; the whole fan club thing...

...I just hope that the album itself is good. I think that's all that we are expecting.

Well we didn't have to wait too long for Peacekeeper to be leaked, wait a moment it was leaked by AOL!!

Didn't AOL and Warners merge a year or so back, maybe someone forgot to tell the lemons making these decisions, seems the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing!!
