Default More Pics

Lindsey was just awesome! This was my first LB concert and I was, "Wowed!" I took a few pics but then decided to record. Well.....my videos didn't turn out! I did Tusk, GYOW, Trouble, So Afraid, SWS, and a few others. I was so bummed when I checked my camera later and saw they weren't there! ARGH!!!!!

Does anyone who went to this show have Tusk & GYOW and be sweet enough to post?

We were in the 8th row seats 11 & 12! Near the end we got up and stood near the stage. I was 1 person short from getting an LB handshake!
At least I got these!

I've been unable to log into the ledge for weeks, so I wasn't able to say that I was gonna be there, but I was in fact there. And it was an amazing concert. I was at the stage the whole concert which is a first for me, other then from Edge onward for 2 Stevie shows, but never for a whole concert. I can't get over the intimacy of a Lindsey show. the way Lindsey basically communicates with people at the front of the stage. Thats really the best part of his shows. At one point he said he'd like to do a request portion during a future tour and someone shouted do the whole cradle album, and he said thats a good idea. Don't know if he says this at all shows.

As for the actual content of the concert. It was great. Some were saying its the best they've seen him, but I think I enjoyed his set in 2008 WAY more then this one. I mean in 08 he opened with Great Day which was maybe the greatest opening to a concert for me ever. A few days ago he opened with Shut Us Down. So there was Great Day, Love Runs Deeper, Come, Gift of Screws (my #1 song from that concert) I Know Im Not Wrong and go Insane full band. That concert just had way more energy and a better flow. The only GOS song kept in is Treason (WTF) and I'm not big on those 2 UTS songs. All My Sorrows was cool but not worth loosing the above songs. Turn It On did nothing for me.

Now on the plus side, the highlights were definitly all the new SWS songs plus I could watch him perform Im So Afraid over and over again for the whole 2 hours, that never gets old. The Way Love Goes was the song of the night. It almost made up for no Gift of Screws. It had Mad energy. I prefer One Take on the album but I question if it would have as much enrergy as the way love goes has on stage. Illumination and In Our Own time were great and I even enjoyed End of time, but still dont like the song on the CD.

And can I add that I had the greatest time driving to this show. Do you agree with me Paula, I'd imagine we drove the exact same route. I feel like I should just drive to and from Salamanca once a month now. The drive there + an awseome CD (SWS on repeat was great Background music.) is really my idea of a good time. And I was really confused when the 219 kept going past Springville. the last time I went down that far was March 09 to ski at Holiday Valley and you still had to get off in Springville.

He said that?! AWESOME!! I hope this comes to fruition!

Of course, I LOVED hearing the SWS songs this go-round, but I agree that the GOS tour was a better setlist overall.

Where were you? Brett's side or Neale's? We were directly in front of Neale for the whole show - you're right, so intimate. I've walked up to the stage for handshakes & guitar strumming at other shows, but this was the first that I stationed myself up there for the entire show.

ITA that The Way Love Goes was "the" song. I love it on the album, and I love it even more live!

Well, we typically drive down that way pretty much annually (we camp near Allegany State Park) so I'm used to it & it IS a great ride. haven't been down that way since '09 either though - they just finished that 219 extension within the past 6 months to a year. I think it's pretty dumb, actually. Even when they take it all the way to 17/86, it won't save that much time. PLUS people are going to drive right by Springville, E-Ville, etc. Those towns will suffer.
