Also...I worship John Waters. Even if he just wrote screenplays...his dialogue can't be beat. My close friends and I quote lines from his films in our everyday talk. We are sick people. But we love to laugh.

The initial IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK was a trio of stories. The first starred Demi Moore, the second featured Sissy Spacek and, in the last story, Cher played the abortionist. This was also Cher's directorial debut.

This is an amazing body of work.

I liked almost all of them, but, here are my fav.'s

Trick -- just fabuous and Tori doing a tap routine with an umbrella

Brokeback Mountain -- I lived it for awhile

Torch Song Trilogy -- Anne Bancroft, who could ask for anything more

Maurice -- breathtaking to me

Longtime Companion -- horrifying to me, esp. since my childhood friend I saw it with soon thereafter died of AIDS related symptoms and I will see him again on that beach in the end of my days.

Ok where is the first gay western Johnny Guitar that predated Brokeback by 53 years?!Don't these queens have any sense of history?

Totally adore Y Tu Mama Tambien. I can watch it over and over...especially the last 15 minutes.

it really is. the Cher short is my favorite, but I really like Demi Moore's short as well.

you must see this. I think it's a little more powerful and better directed than the second one, with the exception of Ms. Redgrave's short.

I've never really been into the "gay themed" movies. They usually bore me, or they're so damn depressing it just ruins my day. I've seen a good portion of what's on LOGO's list, but I wouldn't necessarily call any of them a "favorite".

I was just about to post the same thing. Gay movies just plain old suck. The acting is so over-the-top, it's not realistic. The plots are terrible, and like you, bore me to tears.
