I never use email and only occasionally use AIM. I'd rather write someone a nice letter or card. I like stationary. And, if I need to talk to someone immediately I just call them (I don't log onto an intstant messanger.)

I buy black and white film! I just took a class on photography and digital may be easier, but it just doesn't compare.

I still use a regular old date book. No palm pilots for me!

VCR units, but only use one (For transfers of VHS to DVD-R) so I dont mind 'em...But I definitely prefer DVD over VHS (Who doesnt?)

I still use my collection of audio cassettes, Which I will never part with (Too much rare s**t to part with: i.e. "Buckingham/Nicks" on Polydor audio cassette, With a different track listing than the vinyl release and a mint condition "J-Card".)

No palm pilot for me either, I use just a regular day-timer. I need to see the whole week planned out in front of me, complete with colour coded hi-lighters.

I still use the VCR, since we just bought a DVD recorder. They're still too damned expensive, so we got a pretty crappy one - with a VCR built in. Actually, I mainly wanted that so I can transfer but bootleg VHS tapes & home movies onto DVD.

I still have a turntable and an 8 track, neither are working properly right now. I really need to take them in to get repaired.

Our truck only has a cassette player, so the few old cassettes we still have (which are alomost all hair-metal bands from the 80's) we bring with us on road trips. Not so much with the satelite radio anymore, though.

I still have white appliances! No stainless steel for me, thank you. Seems everyone wants to get those whether their old stuff is still good or not.

I KNOW!!! I cannot cannot comprehend getting new stuff when the stuff I have is in perfect working order. But to each their own I guess. I've had the same (white) microwave for about ten years now lol...my VCR? Also for about ten year...all are in perfect working order - so I see no need to upgrade.

I have all stainless appliances, BUT, I have rental properties for hand me downs. I would never shell out for a new refrigerator, to replace a good one. For two years, I kept praying for someone's stove to die, so I could give them my white one. Finally, that day came last year. More important that the stainless, I was able to switch over to a gas stove!

Hey Good for you! At least you don't just chuck out perfectly good appliances! That drives me nuts - we are all so wasteful and take so much for granted (myself included). That said, I wouldnt' let my landlord give me any of his old cast-off appliances - even though my stuff is old it still looks nice - I do have a thing about stuff looking nice at least :\

1) Nose DROPS instead of sprays.

2) manually operated lawn sprinklers instead of electronic timers

3) hand-wash dishes instead of an automatic dishwasher

I love stainless steel. Unfortunately when I did my kitchen over, I bought all white. This was five years ago and stainless was just starting to come out and it was still very pricey (about twice the price of white). My kids were small at the time and the fingerprints really turned me off. The salesman actually talked me out of buying SS because of the prints. Anyhow, I really regret not buying it. Although my microwave just died and I did replace it with SS. So slowly I will replace with SS as my white ones die but that could take 20 years and by then white will be back in

A watch.

It's amazing how many people just use cell phones for the time now.

Tenant needs stove. THIS is your new stove. Don't like this one? Buy your own. End of discussion. THIS is how it works. Seriously.

For the record, my stove that I gave them was less than five years old, and in very good shape. Except it was white, and electric.

It was REALLY pricey when it first got popular! I wouldn't have paid for it then.
As far as fingerprints, GE has a stainless called Clean Steel, which doesn't print up as badly as regular SS. That's what I've got.
