Thanks for that.

That article really showed me just how much health trouble Stevie has had in her life -- from one thing to another, you know? Just listing it off like that really puts it in perspective.

It's great to get a really nice, positive article!

I thought she looked fine in photos taken at the start of the 2003 tour (certainly not "thinner than ever," but not exactly "zaftig" either), but by the 2004 leg of the tour, she was definitely heavier than she's been in years. It was obvious, IMO. And it was also obvious that she was trying to cover it up, with the scarves wrapped tightly around her neck, and the long gloves covering most of her arms.

I had figured it was due to the steroids she was rumoured to be on because of the hip injury, but apparently that wasn't the case.

Thin or not, I'm just glad she's off of Atkins now, which is not a healthy way to eat. That's something else you've been saying for years, David, and no one agreed with you!

Besides myself, you're the only other person I trust, Stew, although I love everybody here to death.

I would trust Matsumoto, too, but he never seems to drop by here any more.

Thanks Brian, it's really a great interview. It's not easy for everyone, but especially for a celebrity, to talk so openly about these issues. I'm glad she doesn't feel such a contrast in herself now.

Yuppers.

But what's the hip injury?

Certainly that is a bad siet. AND - the thing is protein is the way to way loss. But, you have to have all the other stuff too. I have lost like 50 pounds and if I ate no fat, my face would look awful because skin needs fat. So, you just eat not alot of it. Same for carbs. All this cut this or that out of your eating entirely is ridiculous and can only lead to a dead end.

BTW - I miss you

Did you catch the youtube version of "Sara" off the SYW tour? The red cape she wore could cover every window of Buckingham Palace. I didnt get to see that tour because they canceled their Chicago appearance...so i had no idea how much weight she gained, but she looks absolutely wonderful now.

And from someone (me)who was on the Atkins diet for more than 3 years, it does kinda make you lose your mind. A bite of cake or a piece of chocolate will bother you for days. Good for Stevie for finding something else that is obviously working very well for her!

I think they are referring to stevie being a ball... or as big as one.

Yeah she was big... i noticed that from being up the very front in March 04. Then when i saw her in november 05 she was smaller, but it is hard to tell with her because of what she wears..
