I noticed most people sat @ the Vegas shows, must have been the intimate venue. A few songs got people up, like SB.

I couldnt imagine listening to Monday Morning sitting down. That would suck big time!
I would flip the FFFFF out! After those types of ticket prices one should be able to have a 2 minute lap dance... I say, "Be respectful, but sometimes....you gotta rip it!!!" (Ala The Chain St. Paul Clip...)

dude, enjoying one's self respectfully is no fun! When I saw Stevie in '05, I had a seat at the end of the row and the frickin' usher kept coming over to me and nudging me back into the row when my dancing became out of hand. Good times!!

Thanks. I guess I will try to get tickets in the stands. For the price of seats at these concerts, I expect to use the seat, to be comfortable, and to see. Patrons standing in front of me and forcing me to stand - it makes me see red when patrons are so oblivious of the people behind them. I've seen others nearly get into fisticuffs over this very issue.

I remember the fleetwood Mac concert 1997, NYC, at Madison Square Garden didn't let you dance, I was at the upper seats. that was so uncool

Pretty much everyone on the floor stands. Last night in Chicago people sat for Big Love and Im So Afraid for part of the time. If you want to sit down i would buy tickets in the upper levels. To be honest you'll have so much fun you wont realize how long you will be standing for and after Im So Afraid they let the first two rows go to the stage. When I saw Fleetwood Mac in 2003 I was pretty much in the rafters and i stood to dance and sing and the lady behind me, grabbed and yanked my arm and yelled "I didn't spend $50 to stare at your ass!" I was so taken back that she grabbed me. So i guess im saying if you want sit at all , get tickets for the upper levels. Sorry this is kind of a long post. I tend to babble and im still on a "Stevie/Fleetwood Mac high" from last night. WOOHOO!!!!

Now that I don't understand. What happened, in her mind, that she thought it was ok to grab you? That does NOT fly with me. We may have had a mess out of that situation! I woulda told security that the woman grabbed me, and then smiled as she was escorted away. Seriously, that is not acceptable. You are a better gal than I to have tolerated such behavior. Kudos to you.

I have a feeling I will get thrown out of the arena.

I don't mean to belittle anyone but It's a freaking ROCK!! concert, I anticipate having to stand.

When I went to see Genesis in 2007, I actually moved one row back to the rear of our section so that I could air drum to my hearts content without disturbing anyone.

All our section were standing at The Police finale at MSG even when the B-52's were on.

I understand your position and I would air drum with you... totally. As long as I wasn't in anyone's way or prohibiting them from enjoying themselves. Here is the rub: doesn't being forced to set down prohibit you from enjoying yourself? Here is my plan: to get the MOST amount of energy exspended as possible without being obnoxious... I just don't want to upset anyone or make their experience bad.

You know, the fatigue quantity has nothing to do with my view on standing. I'm not afraid of getting tired. I mind standers because when you sit everyone has a level playing field more or less. When you stand, the taller people obscure your vision and people don't tend to stand in a stationary manner. They move around and you have to keep constantly moving around to maintain your line of sight. Many times that's a losing effort, no matter how much you move and crane. I'm not short either and yet I have a problem.

So, I prefer that everyone sits because it tends to give everyone a fair shot. That said, I did stand for the entire show in Pittsburgh and I never had a problem seeing. That was because the stage was so high, that the people standing could never block my view of the performers, who were elevated. When the stage is lower, it's a problem.

I had to sit. I love to stand. I stood for all of Lindsey in October (no choice, though) and for all of Tom Petty. I first started this love back at my first Lindsey concert when everybody stood for Big Love. Such a good show. Anyway, I was dying inside because the way we were seated if I stood, I would be blocking the view of the people behind me, and I would hate to be rude. Most everyone else in the Arena sat, but the floor people stood.

"....please stand....."

people have you not seen the videos from the opening night,

everyone in front of the stage was standing,

it looked like all of the fans with floor seats were standing,

this is a "Rock Concert", not a "night at the Opera",

if you want to sit, then chose seats in the stands,

if you want to stand, then chose seats on the floor,

any concert I have been to, you stand if you want to "rock",

sorry but if you want to sit in the front row, you should not be there,

g....

Michele, why do you insist on using my name? (joke)

Most of the shows I've attended have been a good mixture of
both sitting and standing. I agree with Michele that it's a little
unfair to the shorter people (which I'm not). But I would imagine
that the Mac feeds off of the crowd response, so get your a$$'s
out of the seats and get your hands in the air. Like someone said
earlier, IT'S A ROCK CONCERT.
