Anyone have thoughts or experiences of TVs with built in DVD players? I am so tired of multiple cables and wires.
I want the newer White TV/DVD combo, but they are scarce in stores unless you get a tiny one. I want a 32 or 37 inch, white with the built in dvd player. HSN.com has one right now, but it has one customer review who wrote it's awful. Amazon has one that seems good but it is only 26".
Maybe as Christmas comes closer there will be more in stores. I'm feeling stubborn and have to have the white, to match my Mac and my walls! Way less black tvs is my prediction for the next decade, the white and grey will take over. Shows less dust, too, I'd bet!

Default Casino gives winner counterfeit money!

Edit: Link at end answers questions I had.
Apparently, a woman won $1000 at a Connecticut casino. She got paid in hundred dollar bills, one of which was counterfeit, and the casino wouldn't honor her win or 'make it right' when she found out the money was fake when she deposited her winnings at her bank the next day and they spotted the one counterfeit $100 bill out of the ten she won at Foxwoods. So she called CT News Channel 8, and the woman said she got her money because of the tv station, because the casino didn't want word to get around.
I wonder if she had previously called the FBI or The CT State Attorney General's Office, which would have been my first instinct, not 'Axxshun News!" (Didn't 'Action News' go out in the 70s? Not here in CT!)
I think the casino should be held accountable, fined, and maybe be forced to close down for a week so the feds can check out the cash they keep on hand! I'd say an investigation is at least in order.

WHY should the casino be held accountable, for what was most likely, a fake bill, that someone ELSE, passed off on them. THEY, took the loss.

What if you owned a store, and someone passed off a fake bill on you. Should YOU be held accountable, fined, and forced to close down for a week, because someone slipped YOU a fake bill?

I'm so sorry to hear that, Caitlin . My Grandfather dealt with that sickness the last few years of his life, and it's incredibly tough as a family member to deal with. Because some days your Grandmother will be just fine, and others she just won't. I think that's the toughest, and most confusing aspect. My thoughts go out to you and your family.

This is an iffy situation. Technically the casino should be liable for handing out counterfeit money, because they should essentially be checking the money they take in so they don't hand any out. However, the woman also has a responsibility to essentially check the money that she receives, and since she accepted the money then one would think she is now liable for it. However, most Home Owners insurance policies and Business insurance policies cover counterfeit money to a certain limit.

I'm sorry. I don't know about the treatments available currently, but I do believe they have been able to slow the progression some, so maybe you have some time. But on that note, I think Alzheimer's is one of my biggest fears. Not only of my loved ones getting it, but also of myself getting it. *hugs*

I have been busy sewing dresses for my little granddaughters lately. I went shopping for fabric today to sew a couple of tops for myself soon. Don't know how the tops will turn out but it was fun SHOPPING for patterns and fabric today

Wondering if I'm the ONLY grandmother on the Ledge LOL

Don't sell yourself short. Patience in life, is everything. It will happen for you. Just be patient. I know that's easier said, than done. But still... It will happen for you.

Thanks Louie =/ It is difficult...its true some days shes better and some days its worse. I'm just glad that we are moving her out here to live with us so we can take better care of her and get her more active.

I'm afraid she's going to forget who I am ='( I dont want that....She is my everything! She took care of me since I was little and I even lived with her for a few years.

I think they have prescriptions to help slow it down...I should ask my mom about it. I wanna take her to Bingo on friday nights so we can keep her brain going....I'm afraid of getting it too =( As it does run in my family.... *hugs*
