I mean if you're going to make such a major change, at least perform well. He did.

Wow. Is Chris playing anything live anymore now? She sure wasn't playing much on the BuckVie tour, Brett was handling most of it. Now that he's not on this tour, is Mike taking over keyboards in his spare time as well??? I just don't get what happened in the time between her solo album on which she played everything and her return to FM. Maybe it's just the physical force at which one has to play live versus how softly one can play in the studio?? Still, you'd think that could be manipulated electronically these days.

So we're back
to the daytime Burbank lot Back to the song that we loved To a band with no grace and fading powers Back to the pitchy song it was. Before Lindsey, That it was. And it all comes down to two Well you know that we needed Two new guys Maybe Neil, maybe Mike Oh, Ellen does the scripted patter right And you hear you're pitchy Hey You hear you're pitchy Hey Still the pitchi- ness remains She faces Neil Finn who asks "Why am I here?" "I have no idea-- "I only asked for Mike... "And though I got a Mike "No the Mike wasn't enough "Enough for Lindsey's parts "Enough to.. lol" Stevie's dancing her way On Ellen now She was just off pitch She was just, off pitch And the memory of Lindsey who made this song great You see you ditched him Hey You, Stevie, ditched him Uh-oh oh.

Who is the keyboard player to Mick's left (on the right side of screen) between Mick and the girls?
The Chain -- Chris and Stevie totally down in the mix. It really was Neill and the backup singers through the whole thing. Gypsy-- love Mike to death, but really, that version was just lame. Lindsey's playing is so unique and so integral to her songs that without them.....meh. Doesn't seem like Chris is playing a damned thing anymore. Can someone please explain why on Gypsy the do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-dah part was played on a keyboard by MIKE when they have both Chris and mystery keyboard man onstage? He had to walk over and with his index finger poke the keys on a little synthesizer. wtf. And that part should have been played on his guitar. Neil was trying to do LB's staccato picking parts and not doing it well. This was sooooooooooooo lame. It's really, really sad. Super sad. Definitely a tribute band now. With Stevie as the emcee.

That keyboard part Mike played on “Gypsy” is something Lindsey played on guitar live, however, the recorded version was a keyboard.

Not unlike the solo in live versions of "Landslide" from 1997 to 2017.

Not exactly. Lindsey’s guitar rearrangement on Landslide was pretty amazing. The Gypsy line didn’t require a major reworking for guitar, and it’s as easy to play on guitar as it is keyboard.

Okay, you can say that I troll this board, but I DO love Christine and Stevie. Still, I'm embarrassed on the bands behalf, The Chain was just soooo bad.
And what in the seven hells did Stevie do to her poor face? Christine looked good, but what did she do aside from standing behind a keyboard and shimmying a bit (which was cute). |

And yes, Christine... if you're not going to do anything, at least you look amazing and cute.
