I just remembered - I bought some Boots toning spray (or something like that - I'll have to check when I get home) because I thought it sounded good. Hasn't done anything for my skin, but it is cool & refreshing.

EDIT: It's Booth's, not Boots.

Hope in a Jar is at Sephora or online at QVC or Skinstore.com

Patricia Wexler is at Bath and Body Works

I'll have to try this cause I love Dove.

so, you use this as your daytime and nightime moisturizer? does it have an spf?

see, that's the problem I run into. I've been wearing spf since I was 16 and it's hard to find a daytime moisturizer that moisturizes and protects without being greasy, heavy and just gross. that's my challenge. finding that perfect balance.

Yes, day and night. It does have SPF, but I don't recall if it says a particular number SPF. Probably 15 if I had to guess. If you apply very liberally, it could probably feel very oily (like it does when I really slab it on at night time if i've had to remove makeup), but since it is a "deep moisturizer", for my needs I don't had to use more than a few little dabs. It's like $5 bucks, so it's worth a try if you're looking for no frills. It's also fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and non-pore-clogging.

There's also a Dove Deep Moisture facial lotion, but I haven't tried that.

Bingo, my problem as well. It seems like it is either a good moisturizer or an spf - but not both. I use the Hope in a Jar and I love it. Initially, I didn't like it because after the first time I used it, I broke out (and I never break out). Then, I just started putting it on sparingly as opposed to slathering it on and I've loved it since. However, no SPF. I'd like to find a good two in one. If you find something, let me know.

I still have to get on Ebay and get some samples of LaMer to see if I like it. Are you still using it?

philosophy does have some moisturizers with spf in them, but I've yet to try one I like. I want to try shelter next. I'll let you know.

I will always keep a jar of La Mer, but I don't use it every single night like I used to. I only use it once a week or after I feel like my face just needs an extra rich cream

(rosy with a cidery tone) it really makes my aqua eyes pop. I have all the friggin expensive lipstick brands and I like the L'Oreal one the best. The whole look is very fresh. It can be more dramatic if you leave off the sheer bronzing powder for a paler look. I don't wear foundation because I don't like the feel of it, and thankfully I don't need to cover anything.

I love lip colors with rust/cinnamon/earthy tones. I'm a bit surprised to hear that you wear that color though, what with your honey wheat hair & aqua eyes. Sound like it would be a bit too harsh on you - maybe the color isn't as deep as it sounds? I personally try to stick with natural earth tones myself, they do bring out my greenish eyes. Although, I am unaware of a word that accurately describes my eye color. Hazel isn't quite right. Maybe I need a new word for the combination of colors. A poet and bestselling author I once dated called them 'an iridescent, shimmery green splashed with brilliant flecks of copper and dazzling touches of topaz.' Whatever the color, my husband, and many other men have been alternately hypnotized and intoxicated by it. Deep plum shadows & liners really make them pop.

I did get your text, btw. Thanks for the heads up. But since I just spent $150 at Sephora, I think I shouldn't buy any more makeup right now. Well, until I take you to Sephora. Oh, and Mikey's right. It's so much more than makeup.
