You do that. Be sure to also alert the parents of all the others who express their love for Patti Smith's music in the latest Band Face-Off thread. Including yourself since you voted for her. How shameful.
I'm not even going to get involved with you because my mission here is to be friendly with everybody and I was kidding and I don't know if you were. I don't even know who Patti Smith is but I just voted for her b/c everybody here likes her. I don't care use nigger or nigga on this board but I think that it is disgusting to say b/c maybe there are black american members on this board. Oh, if you took that thing about calling your mother seriously, then WOW!

Why would that be a reason?

I realized I had more to say, which is all too typical of me.

If you can pull that off, I'll be congratulating you. That was my goal when I first joined and I have failed miserably at it. I think it's impossible to be both honest and nice...I have to go with honest sometimes over the latter.

I really hate that word as well. If I listen to music that uses the word, I choose not to sing it when I hear it. But I also think it's very unfair to judge a song for having it, not knowing what context it's used in, as dissention said. Another example of this would be Lennon's "Woman is the Nigger of the World." I feel the same way about the word "sodomite." It offends me. But, it's the same idea, I believe. One can use the word "sodomite" in a song to express a very different sentiment than the one that offends me so deeply.
