I can promise you that if Stevie is dragging her feet in the studio, she isn't planning 4 years ahead with FM. No way, no how.

I think unwanted pressure of perhaps doing a new album with F/M plus ANOTHER USA tour later in the year, then the big world tour back to back is NOT what Stevie had in mind at the end of their resent tour, she most probably wanted to do more solo work or have a well earned break... But then Christine decided to come back out of the blue, therefore her plans went out the window. Not wanting to let Christine and her band mates down, we all know how much she missed Christine, but on the other hand im sure she thinks timing is all wrong... but Stevie is a trooper and will solider on whether she likes it all not, for the bands sake and to keep the peace within the band..

This could certainly be Stevie crafting demos with those two so she can have something to bring into Fleetwood Mac. Makes perfect sense- the band is working out Christine's songs right now, and getting her keyboard chops back up to snuff. So Stevie has some time to flesh out some new material to bring into the band when they're ready for her. Doing so in Nashville may seem a bit odd at first glance, but that's where she did all the dubbing & rerecording for her Soundstage DVD/CD. Plus, maybe she wants out of LA while Fleetwood Mac is working there, so she can do her own thing undisturbed.

See the difference here???
Fleetwood Mac could have a great "Farewell album" if Lindsey would just loose the attitude...
I think you are my new best friend. Lindsey is the true DIVA in the band. I sure hope that if they do make a new album that he is NOT producer. They need some new input and less 5 minute guitar solos. Just my opinion....

I agree. I haven't been a fan of many of Lindsey's production decisions on the EP or on Say You Will. Why not bring Pharrell onboard?

I'll presume that's a joke. Pharrell and Fleetwood Mac together - that's just wrong and it wouldn't work.

Dave likes to record in Nashville and his last 3 albums were recorded there...
Whether you like him or not Dave is a workhorse constantly working on numerous projects for other artists and yet he still manages to put out an album of his own every year...No telling what Waddy & Dave are doing but one thing is for sure Dave tweets about everything we will just have to wait and see...

There is only one 5 minute guitarsolo. It was there since day one. Only in the SYW tour there were two. So you are talking bull.

They need a producer that will bring the sound of their songs up to date...

i know. i can just laugh off the kinds of remarks like "LB is a diva in that band" anymore. yes, workhorse = diva, by anybody's definition.

the same as "the woman is a peacemaker, she'd do anything just to keep peace in the band". yes, going around in the media trashing your band members is done purely for the purpose of keeping peace.

What.. You say Lindsey is a diva...I never would have guessed...
Yes something other than the glossy over produced slick sound of records past would be nice...

All we really need from Stevie for this album is 3 good songs.

1) take "The Dealer" and record that with a "Gypsy" like ending. She can repeat "run away, yeah I would run away" while Lindsey comes up with some hooky guitar line and the band has some great backround harmonies.

2) a song about her Mom

3) a song about Christine returning

4) add backround vocals to the rest of the songs....voila your done~!
