At least this way...the judges can see who is pulling in the highest/lowest votes all at one time.

For the next 3 weeks: boys on one night, girls on the next. At the end of each show, the audience votes. The bottom two from each group get elimintated. So next week, it's 10 boys & 10 girls. The week after it's 8 & 8. When they get it down to 6 & 6, it's back to normal.

I actually like it this way - gives the audience more of a say in who makes it. Of course, if I don't like the results tonight, I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune tomorrow!

I like it this way too. It's easier to keep straight who is who. The people who don't get kicked off get more chances to sing, so we get to know them and really know who deserves to be in the top 12.

Heatwave sucks unless Linda Ronstadt is singing it.

I like the fro girl too, what was her name? And now my husband is in love with the Fran Drescher girl (her name escapes me as well)....great, I'll never hear the end of it

Thumbs up A.i.

Man, I swore last year I wouldn't watch this show again when LaToya didn't win & here I am again watching it! My favorites are Anthony (from Trevose, PA) & Carrie. And I'll tell you why I like them. They are not showy, & they can sing. Anthony reminds me of Clay Aiken & though I liked Ruben, I always thought Clay should have won, but turns out that didn't make much difference. Though I don't like country music, Carrie can sing anything. I'm pulling for both of them to finish up there.

Carrie has a wonderful voice, she is very gifted. Nadia rocks, she's sort of got the Tina Turner thing going on. Mikalah, the Fran Drescher type is a good performer but I agree with Simon in that she could become annoying. Right now my favorites are Bo and Carrie. Love those rocker dudes.

Here they all are:

I thought Mikalah sounded good initially but I didn't like her voice last night at all. And she totally reminds me of The Nanny, Fran Drescher.

I think Carrie has a really good chance of winning the whole competition. She's a great singer, she's cute, and she seems to have a sweet personality. I also like Nadia and Aloha. They're different too. I hate when everyone just sings a power ballad type song.

Girl, I pulled that song out when the show was over. I still love it! It's in my car now for the trips to campus.

http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/ne...05-454399.html - great read!

"Jessica Sierra – Gawd, if I hear Jessica sing “Against All Odds” one more time, the last thing I’ll be looking at is the barrel of a gun. Actually, her song choice was a propos, because if Jessica wins, it WILL be against all odds. Kind of reminded me of a young Stevie Nicks or something – all she needs are some scarves on her mic stand."

That's awesome. I recognized that as her song too. It really is a good song. I should really be shocked that someone your age has that... but it's you. That's so cute!

This song reminds me of my highschool boyfriend cuz it came out after we broke up. Oh man. That was a really bad time. Also, Dirty Dancing came out around the same time, luvs it!

Me too! I remember getting ready for school one morning, and when that song came on the radio, I SOBBED, and my mom let me stay home that day....

Can't wait for the results tonight. Go Bo! 'Cause I really do think he's got a great voice and that he definitely stood out Monday night.....and he's from Alabama....However, can we possibly have 2 idol winners....I'm doubting it!
