Any opinions on which contestants should sing which country songs this week?

I'll have to think on that. However, this is going to be the week in which we see who has it and who doesn't. I really don't think many of the contestants will be able to pull off switching musical genres.

Not even redhead John? He's been SO versatile so far.

Will Convulsoboy be two-stepping or what? I'm curious to see if he tones it down like the judges said to.

I don't think any of them could pull it off.

However, I think Fantaysia will do it the best. She did a mean Bonnie Raitt.

I'm curious to see how LaToya does. I think she'll choose a slow one & de-country it.

If anyone does Patsy Cline's "Crazy" I'll never watch the show again.

Everyone does the same songs and it sucks.

I almost posted her name, but didn't want to pick on a seventeen-year-old.
But I will say she looked pretty stiff singing last week. I can't imagine her singing a peppy country song. Same with that one Hawaiian girl. Maybe she can sing "Since My Man Left Me I Got My Face Plastered With This Terrified Deer In The Headlights Look".

Speaking of American Idol. Has anyone heard Kimberly Locke's new song? They play it on a teeny pop station here and I don't care for it. First of all her voice sounds synthesized and the song kind of reminds me of something Faith Hill would sing.

I haven't heard it. Apparently I just missed it yesterday while I was driving. The DJ was raving about it. To be honest, I couldn't stand her at this time last year, but at the end of the season she had gained my respect. I liked her more than I liked Ruben or Clay, but that doesn't say much.

It's called 8th World Wonder and it's one of those songs that if you hear it once or twice, it'll be stuck in your head. It's not bad but like everything else on the radio, it's only been released a few weeks back and is totally played out already.
