Yes, a good part of it looked like it was shot with a webcam by Lindsey himself. Only semi-interesting shots were those where he was sitting in his studio, leaning forward so that 70s Lindsey from the framed picture up on the wall looked like he was sitting on present-day-lost-in-thought Lindsey's shoulder. The kids are adorable and hilarious, though.
But, re: filmmaking -- Lindsey, keep your day job.

I loved the Down on Rodeo video....thought that was great, but the documentary itself was quite boring. I loved the film of his family, that made me happy. But I was almost in tears when he continued to get rejected. THAT IS SO AWFUL! Are we ever going to get an album?

My copy hasn't arrive yet. What are the videos like and what songs are they for? Is the audio just him playing along in a room like the SUD video that was released at the same time as the album? What's the quality of the audio like?
Can't wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to see this doc. |

I just watched the Not Too Late documentary.
With regards to the rejection phone calls, when I read Ledgie reviews, I thought Mr. B. was talking about the new album...(2008 product) After seeing the rejections (phone calls etc.), I think he was showing us how freaking hard it was to get 2006's UTS accepted and out on the shelves. The bottom line is money and music execs are more conservative with backing. I count myself damn lucky to have the CD and to have been to the concerts. Getting to that point, must have been a struggle for the man & the artist. Did anyone else interpret the documentary this way? Didn't Mr. B. mention something along the same lines in the Charlie Rose interview? FM sold more units than he did, therefore, his solo album became SYW.
