it will be interesting to watch ongoing next phases of The Eagles (at least for me since i'm completely detached and never cared for them, although i like Walsh solo).

i hope that FM is done and it will not happen to them too... but i guess it's still not out of the question.

yep.

he even quoted the members i was talking about. maybe bwboy considers Chris and John to be insignificant FM members.
I was referring to how you call Fleetwood Mac Fakewood Mac, just because Lindsey wasn’t touring with them. Or do you deny calling them that now? Because the band that toured in 2019 WAS Fleetwood Mac. YOU are the one who apparently considers Christine and John to be insignificant members when you refer to them as Fakewood Mac, not me.

Don IS the voice of the Eagles. He is irreplaceable.

I hope that FM is done, too. I wouldn't go now if Lindsey went back. I like my artists with spines.

so you replied to a completely unrelated post of mine to go on a rant about what all annoys you about my various posts?

you just might have to consider blocking me - no reason to get as upset as you apparently are when reading what i have to say.

PS I will happily continue calling 2018-19 IA's bastardized FM version Fakewoods, just like some of the reviews did at the time.

The 2018-19 version of the band was Fakewood Mac. A cheap cover band. The only tour I've ever missed. Because I had zero interest. STEVIE RUINED THE FINAL CHAPTER OF THE BAND OF MY LIFE.

Whats with your obsession with the Classic west/east events? Lindsey made a few comments that were not even derogatory. He acknowledged they were giant cash grabs, big deal.

The only issue I have with “Fakewood” beyond the fact the 18-19 had the three principals is that there was a fake Fleetwood Mac in 1974 put together by their ex-manager in a legal dispute over who owned the name. The band (Mick, John, Christine, and Bob) had to file an injunction preventing their ex-manager from using the name and ownership of the name wasn’t settled until after “Rumours” was released. So, “Fakewood” only comes across as a bratty tantrum from a fan base of a particular member.

That you would call a band that features Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Christine McVie Fakewood Mac is so beyond disrespectful to them. Well, what can you expect from someone who worships Lindsey Buckingham? What I love and respect about Lindsey is how he’s moved on. A pity not all of his fans have done the same.

I knew he was in trouble when he said that. That was the beginning of the end.

All he had to say was that it’s always great whenever Fleetwood Mac is playing together and that it’s an honor to headline such a diverse group of amazing talent.

It was a cash grab festival put together by his manager, who so happened to be the most powerful man in the industry. Perfect time to lay on some BS.

i was surprised by your claims at the time, because i didn't expect the most powerful man in the industry to have such a thin skin. i guess thin skin really means a potential to lose any money for people like that. once i saw Azoff's bs statement that came out about a year ago in concert with Nicks' bs statement about LB's firing, i realized you were very right.

i'm not really sure why Lindsey ever hired him as his manager. for Azoff, i guess managing LB was the back door back to managing cashcow FM (that he was out of after pushing Stevie into rehab in the 80s).

In 1996-97 if S&L said we each want 15-20% ownership in a newly created Fleetwood Mac entity, would they have resisted? If resisting meant more tours on the county fair circuit and never achieving the monetary success that Eagles were still enjoying 2 years into HFO?

From the bits of info that Lindsey has shared about his not so great experiences with Azoff - it sounds like those two didn't mesh on any level. I bet Azoff was looking for a reason to pounce, just like Stevie.

I don’t think Lindsey’s stray remark — not exactly the shot heard round the world — did much other than tweak Irving’s nose.

But Lindsey should have said, “I recommend seeing the Fleetwood Mac lineup because it includes Earth Wind & Fire. They’re the band to get excited about, although bear in mind that they’re all old and well past their musical prime. Still, that more-or-less describes every band on both bills, so don’t overpay for your tickets! In fact, there is nothing wrong at all with just staying home and watching Breathless in 4k.”
