And, I hate to break it to you, but if you can't laugh about things like this when you're a celeb, you shouldn't be one.

I don't recall hearing her say she enjoyed jabs about her weight. I remember her saying some of the jokes on Letterman she enjoyed, like the treadmill, etc. But not insults about her weight. So -whatever. We can have our own opinions. Don't get all upset. Why are you upset about what I say, but you think for a fact she would not be upset by this? I say it's a no-brainer that she would not laugh about this but would be a bit annoyed or upset (because it's supposedly her biggest fans making fun of her). Why don't you print it off and send it to her via Nicks Fix questions with your name and phone number? Maybe she will answer and let us all know....

Don't worry. I'll stop making my own suggestions and posting my opinions. Seems to be the mood around here....gotta love it....

Don't get your knickers in a twist, doll.

If you can't realize that the Letterman jabs were about her weight, then I have no desire to converse with someone who obviously has no grasp of the jokes.

From a US Magazine interview:

US: A couple of years ago, David Letterman mercilessly tormented you by showing clips from your "Stand Back' video, where you appear to be walking backward on a treadmill. Did this upset you?

Stevie: No, I loved it. People think I don't have a sense of humor about myself, but I'm here to tell you that I do. A friend of mine made a compilation tape of all the shows Dave spoofed me on, and I watched it in hysterics. You couldn't pay for that amount of publicity.

Why bring negativity into a thread that people enjoy reading and posting in? I started these parodies as something fun for folks to do and now we're being looked down upon for doing so. Amazing.

I repeat:

This IS a fan APPRECIATION board. Obviously, we wouldn't be here if we didn't love Fleetwood Mac. In fact, Stevie is my favorite. But let's face it, the woman needs some new clothes!!
There is NO malicious intent in our making fun of Stevie.

And I seem to recall the Letterman comments being complimentary - he thought, and still does think, that Stevie is HOT! He kept showing that bent-over cleavage shot from the I Can't Wait video.

Nonsense. Anybody who reads my posts must know by now that I think Stevie is ugly. I'm looking for the best way to hurt her feelings because I hate her. Haven't you been paying attention, Livia?

LOL, Jake. And let's not forget that Stevie can barely operate a remote control, let alone navigate the internet. I don't even think she owns a computer, does she? Trust me, she ain't lurkin' here!

Because everyone knows that Jake isn't posting from a laptop in front of her front door where he's been waiting for a bit of gold and braid for several years. Nah. Not you Jake. Nope. As far as he's concerned? Stevie has cooties.

He was a Silver Boy
He would have preferred
The Brittney Spears generation
But that's alright
He's on his way

I forgot to mention - don't forget that:

Stevie's a girly-girl
Living in a high tech world...

The Gypsy Duster

She loves to waltz
In a ripe nylon suit
All alone in Phoenix
With a newly permed 'do
From an era gone by
The pics are in Rolling Stone
She could dress blacker,
But the dress couldn't be riper
She could trash Blackdress
But she just put a cardigan over it

It's starting to shrivel
As most years-old garments do
And it don't age well
As she spins in it for you
In this board full of blasphemers
In this world full of fools
The sequins have stopped glittering
Since we parodied you
When your running for Arid
You forget the threads are about to undo...

FASHION VICTIM ("Inspiration"):

Well I was spinning here twirling with my shawl again
I pick up the iron to steam Blackdress again
Sometimes to air it briefly is all I need
To make me feel it can be worn again
I can wear it all the time like I did yesterday
You make me feel like I feel when IRS doesn't make me pay
And I understand Blackdress is pretty bland
But I'll wear it

Just call me FashionVictim
I remember Blackdresses since I picked 'em
They make me look really Wiccan
Just call me FashionVictim

And I put down Blackdress, I feel so alone
Sometimes I just can't hang it
But it's all worthwhile when I show tired style
Reeblechs still lift me a mile high
And I understand Blackdress has got no fan
But I'll wear it

Well these past few months I've had time to remember
Those shawls I threw together
And tambourines, they mean so much to me
And you have to know how much Blackdress means to me
And I really, really want it tattooed to me
'Cause I love it

And I understand that it dulls the band
But I'll wear it

Just call me FashionVictim
I remember my wardrobe stagnation
Escapee from a funeral procession
Just call me FashionVictim
Just call me FashionVictim
Just call me FashionVictim
