to my ears, apparently not to Steve Vai's ears since he considered SYL's Devin Townsend a "pure musical genius" (I have his solo releases which are the complete opposite of the SYL stuff, and it is stuff that I like since it is a change of pace - More mellow but with a ton of great playing, stuff I think Lindsey Buckingham fans may enjoy.)

To each their own (I enjoy all styles of guitar playing since I WAS a guitarist and I am CURRENTLY a bassist)

As for what he is singing, here ya go:

"There Is No Insanity, Rather A Super Sanity
More Suited For Life At The End Of The 20th Century
Where Everything Is Art,
And Everything Is Trying To Express It,
Where Everything Is Art,
And Everything Is Trying To Comunicate It...

All Intelligent Beings Sleep The Dreaming Of Dreams
And They've All Come Up To Meet Me Tonight
Although While In The Morning, All Their Wonder And Their
Glory Was Turned Ugly And Quite Simple
Like A Venue When You're Loading In Gear

Sexuality, Eroticism In Asexual Pursuasions.
Man Or Woman, Make's No Difference In The Outcome
No Fasion, No Tolerance For Stupidity Or Ignorance
..."Adidas" Or "The Arch Deluxe"...
And Time Is Now An Object

Oh My ****ing God...
Oh I'm ****ing God...
And I'll Dream All This Into Becoming Real

And Until Such Time That You Can Prove Me Otherwise
I Will Continue With My Agnostic Travels
Until I've Found A Place That Dreams With Me...
...A Place That Feeds On My Rountine

All I Want Is My Mommy...
All I Want Is My Mommy...
All I Want Is My Mommy...
All I Want Is My Mommy...

This Is The Night That It All Changes"

"Storm" - The Devin Townsend Band (From the "Accelerated Evolution" album)

"If you wanted to,
…say you wanted to…
If you wanted to save the world
Where could you start? How could you start?
If you wanted to feel like I feel
…like I feel
You’re running dry…
…I’m flying high
We’re running on feel
You wanted to be, what you’ve never been before
We worked hard for a living
We worked hard for it all
You run and hide,
…don’t run and hide
I’m starting to feel OK
But I’m wasted
And I’m failing
Oh Tracy please
Can’t you see?
It’s just me
I wanted to feel
What I’ve never felt before
I was tired of the living
I was tired of it all
Time, time
…it’s only…time.
If we wanted to,
…say we wanted to…
If we wanted to save our world
I’m waiting here, waiting
Waiting here baby please…
STAY WITH ME
We wanted to be
What we’ve never been before
But are we tired of the living?
…Are we tired of the war?"

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Oxford Comma-Vampire Weekend

A great new band...seriously, check them out.
They remind me of the Tusk album.
