I've been looking at a lot of this and from all the things I've read the problems were worn wrist pads, sudden shutdown syndrome and overheating. is that right? I also read that pretty much all this has been corrected. I'm not sure that that's the case, but just doing a little research. any idea when the new generation would be released?

yeah, those are the issues i read about too. my friend's macbook did the sudden shutdown thing. if they say they've fixed those issues, that's awesome! i don't know when the next gen will be released, but it sounds like they have worked out all the kinks i've heard of. i say go for it!
