Ok - so good to know that one isn't *supposed* to refrigerate Pepto....but three years old - doesn't that stuff expire?
Hell, I dunno. The last bottle I had was probably 10 years old!

And yeah, stay away from the raw oysters. They're great, but food poisoning isn't worth it. I was so sick, that the desk clerk felt sorry for me, and drove me to the Walgreens.

I didn't even know one could eat raw oysters...I'm somewhat food ignorant (in case you haven't noticed). Now Rocky MOuntain Oysters, those were plentiful in my life, but I don't recomend eating them raw And actually, though they were available I've never eaten those either.

Never heard of someone eating raw oysters?

I was getting them steamed, in FL, about ten years ago. I was sitting and drinking with a topless dancer(no, the topless bar was across the street, she came over there when she got off work). Well, she kept calling me a pussy(and she didn't even get a strike! ), for getting them steamed, so I finally got a dozen of them raw. And she was right. They really are MUCH better raw. You eat em with a saltine, some horseradish, and a little tomato sauce. Sure, it's gross to think about, but they taste great!
And I enjoyed them for several years, until I got the bad one. Never again.

Never had a Rocky Mountain Oyster......anyone had em?

People just don't eat em in the Midwest.

Oh, I know what they are.....I just doubt if I'd have the balls to eat em!

i'm drinking water.
I thought so too until I was at a friend's house & they looked at me like I was crazy when I went into the fridge for ketchup. I argued with them that it has to be kept cold, but I checked the label & it doesn't Then I realized that restaurants leave their condiments out on the tables, so it's just personal preference, not food safety. Mine are still in the fridge - bot not the PB!

Exactly. I hate my bread ripping. Cold butter does it too - dammit!

Me too.

I just ate a grapefruit. I was shocked when I read the label - 1 medium grapefruit has 120 calories and 12 GRAMS OF FIBER! I'm sure you'd have to peel it & eat it like an orange with some of the skin to actually get most of the fiber, but still - that's a lot of fiber!

^^
Mustard in the fridge? WTF?

The only thing I keep in the fridge is mayonaise. I figured, you know, there is milk and eggs in it. And yes, I keep eggs in the fridge also. Someone once told me that was not necessary, but still...

Never mustard though...sheesh.

No milk? Wait...I thought that creamy stuff went into mayonaise, and isn't cream made of milk?

I'm going to check that label.

you can make it with butter, but almost all commercial varieties of it over here are made with soybean oil.

Well, I checked and here are the results:

The cheap kind doesn't mention milk as being part of the ingredients, but the expensive kind does. Yes, there's oil in it, lots of it actually, and here's the most surprising part: there's mustard in it!

You learn something new every day.

really? milk? not cream or butter, but milk? how funny. i just went to check, but the dude i'm housesitting for only has cheap low-fat kind, and it's got all sorts of weird artificial stuff in it.

i know the stuff i have at home has mustard in it, though, and i think it tastes better.
