Me too. This reminded me of the time when a Bee flew in her hair at Jones Beach a few years ago. It was very funny.

Thanks for posting the videos viv, as we were only able to hear FM and occasionally see Stevie shake the tamborine.

JF in a nutshell was horrible. I won't even list the negatives but the highlights of the day were: hearing FM live, the sunshine, the frozen pina coladas, and gumbo with file spice.

Great City, poorly organized event. Even seeing Madonna on our last trip get booed at the Arena beats this trip.

Other highlights from the trip: Caprese pizza from Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, Irish coffee from Cafe Beignet, great jazz band @ same cafe, street musicians on Bourbon, Lafitte's (of course), seeing other parts of the city than the Quarter, parking for free in the Marigny neihborhood and walking to the Quarter, seeing/meeting old friends and locals.

Love the City...Love the Band, Glad I went...Glad it's over

WOW...still recovering from yesterday....I have NEVER seen crowds like that at Jazzfest, and I have been there for some crowded shows like Springsteen, The Eagles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers...and yeah there were a lot of baby boomers there but MANY MANY young folks dancing to the music and inspired by the band...I got there at 7am and my friend and I were the first two people to arrive before the crowd of thousands that you see in the video clips...we watched a swampy mud pit fill up COMPLETELY within a few hours!

Although, I don't think a caffeinated drink is the best way to clear your throat for singing.

Plus we know Stevie likes cream in her coffee (not milk!) so that's some lovely dairy to coat the throat as well.

How sad that you had a bad experience - this was my 2nd Jazzfest and I loved it!
Arrived at the Acura Stage before Little Big Town and ended up third person back from the fence dividing the "pass only" pit and mere mortals! Perfect view! I was thrilled that I didn't have to spend the whole day there to hold my spot for FM!
Today was awesome as well! Can't imagine anywhere else where I could roam from stage to stage as desired and be in close enough range tor great sound and at the very worst a view of 2 huge screens. Saw lots of local talent as well as Hall & Oates-Black Keys-Ivan Neville and on and on. Also awesome food! No complaints here - can't wait for next year!

Wow thanks again Viv.

I love these Jazz fests.I was at one here in CT years age and had a ball.

Yes I do remember the mud at a show that I went to years ago upstate Connecticut.

Everybody got stuck in the parking lot.
