Wikipedia knows all!
Sara: "Nicks herself has said the song was once over 14 minutes long with many verses about each member of the band that were ultimately not used. Many different versions are avaliable on bootlegs."
The Chain: "The start of the studio version of this song has, in a very quiet whisper, the word "fack". This can only be heard on tracks released on CD. Because of the limited dynamic range, it is not audible on the original vinyl LP, cassette or 8-track releases." I've never heard that bit about Sara, and I vaguely remember hearing something about the "fack" at the beginning of The Chain. So.. does that version of Sara exist and can anyone else hear swearing at the beginning of The Chain?

yes, you can hear it with headphones!!
I think it's Linds too... Does anyone know if the "extra" lyrics are available somewhere or ever surfaced? |

It is Lindsey on "The Chain". During one of the Chats on The Penguin this was brought up. Interestingly, it's not on the "Greatest Hits" version, but it is very clearly heard on the "Rumours" CD. If you want to hear it, crank it up full blast just before the song starts and you will hear it crystal clear.

lmao...I had never heard that on "The Chain" or I guess realized what it was before now...yeah, you can hear that clear as a bell if you turn the volume up with headphones in.
As far as "Sara" goes, I would love to read those lyrics but I doubt that they will ever see the light of day.

I remember her mentioning the 14 minute Sara in, of all places, TV Guide. Why TV Guide was interviewing Stevie Nicks I have no idea. Or maybe it was People Magazine. It was a long time ago and my memory ain't what it used to be.
