When I saw FM for their Say You Will tour on opening night, I was stunned they performed so many new songs, but since I wasn’t a fan of that album, it was a little disappointing. Especially since they didn’t sing Thrown Down, my personal favorite. When I saw FM in 1990, I was disappointed they didn’t sing more songs from the album- they performed In the Back of My Mind, Love is Dangerous, and Stand on the Rock, but I thought they would have sang Save Me, Skies the Limit, When It Comes to Love, and Freedom as well. But they didn’t.

If Stevie isn’t going to record anymore, but still keep touring, I agree with you that she needs to drop the cover songs and go back to deep cuts and hits she hasn’t performed in decades, such as Talk to Me, Rooms on Fire, and I Can’t Wait. Those three songs alone would improve her setlist dramatically. And even as you pointed out, she’s older, but she’s also taking more time off between concerts than most folks, which should help her keep her energy level up.
They didn't play Save Me at your show?! Wow - and that was the most notable single from BTM. 2018 would have been a great time for FM to play the songs you mentioned from BTM, especially since Mick, John, Christine, and Stevie were all on it! I guess because the album was not a success in the US?

Stevie takes at least two whole days off in between shows these days. Her performances are autopilot.

Great song list suggestions! Here’s my fantasy list- there would be two, actually; ideally, Stevie would perform two different set lists alternating nights. That would keep her on her toes and provide a variety to her fans.

Each night would have Dreams, Landslide, Stand Back, and Edge of Seventeen. The rest would include:

Rhiannon one night; Gold Dust Woman the next
Gypsy one night; Seven Wonders the next
Storms one night; Sara the next
Stop Dragging My Heart; Whenever I Call You Friend
Rooms on Fire; If Anyone Falls
Talk to Me; Blue Denim
Moonlight; Secret Love
Crying in the Night; Long Distance Winner
Sorcerer; Ooh My Love
All the Beautiful Worlds; Battle of the Dragon
Destiny; Rose Garden

I think the songs I picked have a similar vibe, Rhiannon and GDW are performance songs, Stop Dragging and Whenever are duets, Rooms and Anyone Falls are pop songs, Talk to Me and Blue Denim are rockers, and Destiny and Rose Garden are country-ish. I know this would never happen, but what a way to keep the tour fresh.

Macfan4life explained that Save Me was played initially on the BTM tour, but near the end, they dropped it for Say You Love Me. Ugh- I was so disappointed! Save Me was, and remains, one of my favorite FM songs, and I would have loved to have seen Christine sing it. You’re right, it would have been awesome if the 2018 tour had included Save Me and As Long As You Follow in place of All Over Again.

Oh wow. I thought In The Back of My Mind was replaced with Say You Love Me!
No Questions Asked would have been my choice over Storms for the 2018 Tour, but that too probably would have been swapped out with Gypsy LOL!

Stevie's World Tour continues. She played in Amsterdam last night. Same short setlist that includes two covers.

Stand Back has a new intro which is a riff off between the synthesizer and Carlos. There's a sort of drum solo too. I guess this gives Stevie time backstage to cape up and hydrate.

Stevie does one spin and dances in place after when she usually win spin continuously during Carlos' disco guitar. Enjoy:

I really prefer it, when she used to sing "He Said Take It, All"! Because it lifted her voice into melody mode. It sounds kind of monotone, without the "Take It All! Just my opinion, of course!

I like that Take It All too. The instrumentation for Stand Back is good in this video. I do miss Scott Crago on the drums!

I'm excited to see what the setlist will look like come end of September since she'll have over two months off from her last show.

I can't help but think Waddy must be bored.out.of.his.gourd playing those same 3-4 chords over and over and over the entire set night after night after night. I mean, ok Stop Draggin' isn't hers but....he's been playing that since 1981. Hope she's paying him well.

Maybe Waddy has his mind set on that 15 minute rest right before Gypsy
We know Stevie's "The Boss" in her solo career but it seems Waddy and Stevie decide what the setlist will be every night/every tour. He's the musical director and she's said he's told her what songs she can't drop.

He couldn't tell her anything. She hates his guts.

That's why if he goes back for this "how many warm bodies are left" reunion tour, I'll lose what respect I have left for him. He's already suffered public humiliation from her, and now wants to go back for more. He may as well put on a collar, and get a leash with which .Stevie can parade him around.

Now...

But up until the last Rumours5 tour he was the musical director for the band and could tell them what to do, and yeah she hated it.... so obvious in the DR doc. Esp the scene when they are rehearsing and she wants to just go thru the full set late into the night and he's like, nope I have to be out of here by 9... she was NOT happy that he would not bend...

And YET...she wants everyone she replaces him with to do everything just the way he would do it... Which speaks to the fact that she can't find fault with him musically or technically... she just hated that he was the boss.

Agree he should not go back under any circumstances.

In a 2017 interview, Stevie expressed her annoyance that Lindsey calls tour rehearsals for 2pm so he could "have dinner with his family." Of course we know Stevie wakes up in the late afternoon in her non-touring life.

I think Stevie said in a '98 interview that Lindsey can really mess up your songs if he wants too. The only ones I can think she might be referring to are Twisted and Crystal because she did her own versions solo, and Sweet Girl because she released the demo for it after The Dance. Maybe also When I See You Again and Welcome To The Room Sara (even though those are my favorites on Tango) because they seem to be thought of as garbage here

Does anybody have have predictions for Stevie's activity for the remainder of 2024 and for the year 2025? It's been a month since her European Tour. She has two make-up concert dates at the end of September.

Any one think she'll release an album this year?

I doubt she will release an album, I see her more like a tour singer. But everything is possible. I just found this article, it's dated aug 22 but don't know if it's old info. I don't look up information about Stevie often.

https://www.lifeandstylemag.com/post...her-exclusive/

It just mentions about writing a couple of songs. It doesn't specify if they would be included in a Harry's album, or Stevie's. I understand that it is only the intention, not a project in progress.
