Isn't Daily Mail like a right wing rag that Piers Morgan is affiliated with?

I only glanced through it, as The Mail is not my favourite piece of journalism The headline made me think Christine had actually spoken to the writer.. |

At the show I attended in November 2019 she was really struggling vocally from the start. The audience helped her out by singing along heartily, it was like were all saying it didn't matter, we will support you regardless. But I don't know how she managed all those nights on the tour.

Fleetwood Mac needs to call it a day as a touring act which at this point I believe that they indeed have. Too bad that they had to go out like they did.

All that matters is that she’s Christine McVie. Good enough.

It's kind of hard to imagine what sort of touring band Christine is imagining without John, Stevie and one would have to assume Lindsey. I can just imagine him guffawing "Mick who?" when the telephone call came.
Christine doesn't seem that keen about it all either, and she's probably wisely aware of her declining performing abilities. She's 77, so that's ok. So that would leave Mick, Neil and Mike (assuming the latter two could be bothered and you would have to wonder why if they were), a presumably session man non-member bass player and errm, Bekka Bramlett, perhaps? What would be the point? A Macless Mac? "It's a new version of our very lovely band Fleetwood Mac," said Fleetwood from his Hawaii home, in a June 2022 press release "we sound great together and I know we will go out and play all the old hits for our fans..." He might as well just go out with his drums and a karaoke machine for the rest of the band. They had a chance of a graceful, and perhaps glorious exit if that final album could have materialised. Instead old anno domini and animus got the collective better of them. In reality, I think Christine is gently telling everyone it's over. It's just as well.

In all seriousness, the band is over, save for maybe a farewell show or two. I could see Mick putting some new together or becoming Lindsey’s drummer (which would be mutually beneficial). Maybe Mick and Lindsey start a new offshoot. There are lots of possibilities.

Oh, if that's true (and now you mention it , I do recall some talk of that) I'm glad for them at a personal level if they're at least speaking.

Steve, I think there's a better chance of Vanessa Carlton, Hilary Scott, Alana Haim, or Lana Del Ray joining before Colbie Caillat.
If Mac ever did Bubbly on stage, tomotatoes and bananas would be thrown at the stage. Garbage music. |

Mick, Lindsey, Christine, and Florence Welch would be a great combination, if Christine could somehow struggle along....
