![]() Remember, they performed "Go Insane" as a band in 2009. Also, they let Lindsey do it solo in 1997.
I understand that Stevie broke the precedent with "Stand Back" (unless you count "Don't Let Me Down Again," which broke a similar if not identical precedent). But Celani's answer makes sense to me. The band needed to do more songs by the ladies, and opted for hits like "Stand Back" over songs like "Storms" "Sisters Of The Moon" "Beautiful Child" and "That's Alright." They were trying to capitalize on Stevie's solo success at a time when its fortunes without Lindsey were an open question, and that song (the song itself, not the studio recording of it) suited Fleetwood Mac. |

![]() Stand Back I always assumed was to balance Go Insane.
Which came first the chicken or egg, not sure. |

![]() They started doing "Stand Back" in 1987 (before they added "Go Insane").

![]() They started doing Stand Back in 1987, and did HAEWAFY instead of Landslide on that tour.

![]() His playing always seemed to have the subtlety of a porcupine. Those early solo Gypsy’s were horrible all around.

![]() i was confused too.
Lindsey just reiterated what Christine has been trying to say since fakewood CBS interview - and they conveniantly kept cutting out that part to be able to sell that "majority rules" / "nobody in the band was on his side" crap. ![]() there are 3 people LB took some digs at in his recent truth serum interviews - Stevie, Azoff, and Mick. Azoff for being a crappy manager, Mick for being money-whore, having bad judgement and no self-editing skills, and Stevie for being a coup instigator craving attention, while creatively barren (no vitality). i find it also interesting that Azoff screamed at Lindsey. because isn't "screaming" what poor Nicks supposedly had enough of from LB and so she had to get rid of him to be happyhappyhappy? maybe now she has Azoff screaming at her instead? ![]()
