Christine looked absolutely stunning. She's aging in reverse. Now if we can get her to sing and play keyboards...errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr her job that people are paying to see... we'll be fine.
Exactly, her weight is totally irrelevant....why would that even be mentioned

Wait, wait. Sugar Mouse...surely you can enlighten us on these Neil Finn details:

Chobani or Yoplait for breakfast?
Everything bagel or blueberry muffin?
Crest or Colgate?
Peel and stick envelopes or lickable?
Big Mac or Whopper?

Do you really believe that's true?

Before anyone else chimes in, please really
think about the question and answer honestly.

Q. How many guitar players does it take to play the solo in gypsy?
A. Apparently a lot because two still couldn't pull it off.

Doh!

Even though Persuasion is a TIM FINN song?

And the Finn family part you mentioned is totally irrelevant, the brothers solo careers are completely separate. It's like saying Stevie and Lindsey's solo careers are linked.....uuuummmm. no.

But back to the point, Neil is incredibly wealthy and not a spender there is no point denying that part. Mick however I very much doubt and am actually certain has very few dollars in the bank to rub together

Absolutely, he will never have the same energy or stage performance. They are totally different. Neil is chilled, Lindsey is not

I mean, it’s the most common thing in the entertainment biz so why shouldn’t she? As long as she doesn’t become Kim Novak or Madonna.
Oh I'm positive she's had fillers. No doubt about it in my mind. And there's nothing wrong with that but yeah, her skin definitely isn't the result of solely La Mer and sleeping until 3 pm.

One thing that has not been mentioned yet is Ellen's comments. She mentioned at least 3 times "They sound so good" "Boy they really sound good" "Don't you agree, they really sounded good"
Maybe because I am trained in statement analysis but it seems Ellen is providing cover to the band as if everyone expected the band to sound bad with new members?
Lots of bands perform on Ellen. Does she say 3 times after they perform how good they sound and then ask the audience the same thing?
I am probably in the minority again but I just thought that was strange. Its just sad that the band needs a prop up from Ellen because of new members

No, it's not just you. I was going to include exactly this in my "contrast and compare" post above but forgot.

Lindsey (performing Shut Us Down on Ellen): Ellen gives him genuine praise at the end, ie "That was really good," said direct to him with a non-stagey voice.
Stevie Nicks & Her Pretenders on Ellen: The way Ellen gives her praise is patronising or "kind." Like a local kids' talent show.

I'm not having a dig at Ellen, btw (nor is Macfan4life I assume). She had her brief and played it perfectly. "This poor band is struggling to get on the their feet, and need all the positive encouragement they can get."

And hey I'll correct any foolish, erroneous posts that I see here and I was correcting bombaysaffires who wrote that Neil joining FM is "like Meghan Markle marrying into the royal family".

Of course, it's nothing like that as Neil is already in the same financial stratosphere as the FM members and is worth about twice what Mick Fleetwood is worth.

It's a huge honor for Neil to join such a great band as FM but it's also a huge honor for FM to land an elite, talented, and successful musician as Neil.

I know that losing Lindsey is a big loss and many of you are grieving the loss, but perhaps some of you can step back and realize just how lucky the band is to bring in Neil and Mike.
Yeah, I’m sure it’s a big honor for Neil to step into the shoes of a musician that was fired. I’m sure he’s so pleased to deal with angry LB fans everyday on social media. The guy probably can’t wait to get out of this mess and go on with his solo career.

How’s the band lucky? You’re lucky when you succeed in front of an unexpected situation. There wasn’t any unexpected here. This has been planned for months. So, no, they weren’t lucky. Not this time.
