I'm wishing I could see it at this point for the same reason, but I don't have the channel. I think this thread and mockery it's getting elsewhere is actually getting more people watching... even if it is hate-watching to give it the MST3K treatment!

I think it's designed for boneheads who are sprawled out on their couch after having eaten a large pizza alone. It really contains nothing of any value. It's for when you want to kill an hour in the laziest possible way.

That hit's a little too close to home.

I actually was able to watch it. They start out by making Lindsey look like a psycho (Olsen comes off like he hates the guy) and then finish up by making everyone but Lindsey look like washed-up losers. No one comes out a winner.

Award for most annoying commentator goes to the long-haired lady who says "Stevie was fragile" about 15 times.

The re-enactments - the poorly cast bad acting, the lame dialogue - oh my gosh. Yes, those are what makes this stand out from other poorly done "documentaries" as hilariously bad.

I did not think it was as bad as some portrayed it. Any casual Mac fan did not learn anything new. If you were curious about the band and never a fan then maybe you learned something. It was the same stories we have heard a million times, the break ups during Rumours, the drugs, blah blah blah.
One thing that was mentioned that I forgot about was how out of it John was during Tango. I remember in Mick's book how John almost forgot how to play and took forever to get his groove back after sailing the Caribbean for half a decade.

Here is the most interesting part of the show. The bald British guy who spoke several times during the show has written and interviewed the band before. Is he the guy that did those shameful interview with Stevie during her klonopin post Timespace era? He was a English guy who wrote bad things about her in the magazine interview and his interviews used to be youtube but some were taken down. He got Stevie to admit to her abortion and the weird stuff about her marriage to Kim. It was very sad. Stevie was so out of it and he clearly took advantage of her during the interview. Some segments of the interview may still be on youtube but the most shocking one was removed many years ago and never reappeared. Its obvious she said some things she probably regrets today. Remember when Martin Bashir interviewed Michael Jackson and to his face he was a normal interviewer but when he spoke to the camera by himself he was trashing Michael. IMHO it was a similar type interview.
Anyway, is this the same guy?

Nothing new, but OMG the cheesy reenactments were a hoot. The Stevie was pretty bad--at times it almost reminded me of an Amy Sedaris skit. I actually thought the Lindsey wasn't too bad . Pretty funny experience with two glasses of wine and an hour to kill on a boring night.

True
But lets be real any re-enactment would be a hoot. How do you portray drugged out Stevie stumbling into Tango sessions? Its going to be cheezy anyway you slice it
I think the Ho Ho's would have done a fantastic job!

The Breaking the Band episode is on YouTube! For those in regions who couldn't get to see it on TV.

And I'd just bought a bottle of red!

Oh man, these reenactments.

The Stevie actor in the Tango scenes is Amy Sedaris in Strangers with Candy.

Where is ledgie Josh from Columbus, he would love this.

The directors/writers of this cheesy train wreck made Lindsey Buckingham look like a demon with OCD during the recording sessions. He would demand hundreds of takes. At one point, they claim that Lindsey became enraged and choked one of the producers/engineers when they tape was erased (at his request in the first place). Seriously?

And the look on that Stevie's face when the band gathers to listen to the finished"Tango In The Night". This show is hysterical!
