paints a pretty petty picture of the band and whoever are people currently behind this "FM station".

I heard "Sugar Daddy" yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise, even if it's not my favorite. This morning, I heard a live version of "Songbird" and teared up as it ended. RIP, Rumours 5.

It's not so strange if you think that the registration happened before he was fired.

Heard the ultimate deep cut ever this morning: Nights in Estoril. I only heard the ending. What an incredible song with lyrics, melody, and Chris's keyboard playing style. LOVE IT.
Also heard I will run to you by Stevie.
Chris spoke about Bare Trees and how John took the photo for the cover and how much she loved the songs on the album then played Sentimental Lady.

In terms of no one having heard a Lindsey solo song as of yet; has anyone heard any solo songs from ANYONE not considered a current member? I've only managed to listen a few times in the car and wondered if they are just limiting solo efforts to current members only. Even with my small amount of listening, I'd agree with the folks who say they are tiring of the influence artist's songs.

no they are limiting it to only Stevie, Mick, John, and Christine:

no Crowded House, Split Enz or Neil Finn songs. no Dirty Knobs. but tons of TP and HB - 22 so far to be exact.

limited amount of Chris solo while bloated Mick and SN numbers may tell you something too, if you chose to read between some particular lines. also artists with same management are most played as "influences" i believe, so that will tell you something too.

meanwhile - i haven't heard Albatross yet. but the search shows they did play it 9 times. so that's good.

Oh Well 21 times. the historic FM song that LB covered on most tours when he was with the Mac, and i never got to hear it live from him. i loved his version (however much some purists seem to hate it!)

We are not going to hear any of Lindsey's solo material on this channel, anymore than we will hear Rick Vito's or Bob Welch's.

Is it f*cked up? Absolutely! But again, their logic is that they're only playing solo material from "active" members of the band.

agree. it's a convenient logic to cover their pettiness. i'm sure that LB pushed for that channel in part because he loved the idea of solo and influences exposure.

except current members Finn and Campbell are not included (unless when playing on TP and SN solo).

and of course, any logic in equating LB with members of the band who were with them less than 5 years makes zero sense.

Because the greedy bastards are hoping the general public won't realize that the musical director got fired.

Playing Crowded Petty would advertise it.

i did a search for Go Insane too, which as we know FM covered on multiple tours. guess how many times that was played?? lol

meanwhile, Stand Back? played 9 times as live FM track, and 2 times as SN solo.

i have to rethink the timelines of band members too. there used to be timeline at the bottom of their wiki page which is now gone. Peter Green was really with FM just like 3 years i think? of course his outsized role way outshines the number of years.

EDIT: ok here's the link to members and timelines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...od_Mac_members

My friend who has been listening said perhaps Lindsey didn't want his solo stuff played on this channel (after the firing), so maybe that's why.

yeah about that - LB's wife liked my tweet complaining about no LB solo songs on the SXM channel. so somehow i don't think that's it.
