My mom doesn't celebrate Mother's day, she's all about that "every day is important" thing and really does lives up to that. It's beautiful to witness her displays of love and care for those around her on a daily basis... She's always giving presents, writing cards, and helping people all year 'round. That doesn't mean I don't want to celebrate, you know? I'm still bringing her cake and flowers for coffee late this afternoon whether she wants it or not.

My mom too always gives us presents, even if sometimes they're too much ("No mom, I can't eat lasagnas for 3 days straight") and she's always taking care of my ill grandma everyday and even looks after stray cats in the neighborhood, she deserves that we cook for her and give her presents when we can. The surprise with cake and flowers is an amazing idea, what kind of cake is it? Last edited by SisterNightroad; 05-14-2017 at 01:19 PM.. |

Me too,!!!!! I gave up in August 2002. I gave up as I was sick to death of queuing at the Supermarket. I found it easy(ish) except once or twice at a party, when I may have had a red wine or two. Well done to us both. |

Just watched the Radiohead headline set at Glastonbury online...
I'm not sure I have adequate words to describe what I just saw... that was the most amazing concert I've ever seen. WOW!!!!!

Don't do as I do...
I rarely drink alcohol, and I mean rarely.
And I would never drink and drive. That said... I've nearly downed a bottle of Castello Del Poggio Moscato and I feel nothing. I thought it might make me feel different. But no. How much does a fellow have to drink? |

Finally went to sleep at 5am. The culprit was drinking 3 cups of coffee yesterday morning. I removed coffee from my life almost 2 months ago and have had it only two times after. Since dumping that stuff I have slept better, have more energy and my memory has improved. And also the most strangest thing of them all; my hair of which was thinning out because I am in my mid 50's has become thick again like when I was in my youth. Who wouldda thunk that caffeine could be so damaging?
