Default Should FM cancel the "O2" show and headline "Glasto"

Looks like Glasto will be looking for someone to fill the Foo Fighters spot as headliner...

Would it be a good move on the bands part to ditch/ reschedule the "O2" show to headline Glasto?

It probably get FM fans pissed off at "O2" but make FM fans happy at the Glasto show.

Thats understandable with Dave's fall.Atlease the fans know about it.

If FM was here in the states. They probably would jump on the Bonnaroo fest bandwagon for the right price.Stevie was there with Tom petty years ago.

It's not like the band isn't already playing 6 shows at the "O2" what's one less when they could headline 2 festivals in 7 days...

This thought went through my head the moment I read about The Foo Fighters cancellation.......
Do I think it will happen mmm NO.
I think they would be under contract with I-O-W Festival to be exclusive...
It would also be very unfair on the O2 customers...

The Isle of Wight was the coolest show they've done in years.

A resounding 'No'.
They just about got away with the 'illness' before the Isle of Wight show.
If they cancelled gigs just to be able to play at Glastonbury they'd lose all credibility. Cancelling one show to play another just isnt the done thing.

...and I'd be worried about my tickets!

However, I'm sure the positive experience will encourage them to want to do more festivals, including Glastonbury in the future.

btw, I think Florence and the Machine should be bumped up to the headliner slot.

Totally agree with your sentiments, Fuzz.....but they show all of Glastonbury on The BBC...I can hear money, money, money clunking through Mick's brain...as sales would shoot up (that's if they had a new album of course)

They could always have the stipulation that Eavis honor Fridays "O2" tickets at Glasto for the FM set...In other words the show would simply be moved to Glastonbury...Imagine an already packed Glasto being over run by crazy FM fans... Just open the gates and let everybody in ticket or not like Woodstock...Now that would be something...

They could have always closed the festival as they have Sunday night free ..
but they will only do anything for money and the reason they shunned it
before agreeing to do IOW was the money was not enough for them.

Shame would have loved it and i dont think there will be another time......

Well, well, well. Oh dear, I've just sat through Kanye West's performance at Glastonbury. My word, it was complete and utter turd of the highest calibre. I generally think Mr West is a d!ckhead but I thought I'd try to watch with an open mind. Unfortunately it was just so dire.

The Mac really should have been there instead of Kanye West. Better still, if they'd closed the festival on the Sunday they'd come off 10x better following this performance.

Fleetwood Mac at IOW- 'The festival booking of the summer' so they say. It looks even more like that now!
