Yeah, but it's Christmas, you're allowed!

It'll soon come off again in the new year!

Yesterday as my own meal of the day, I was forced to have the obligatory Christmas Lunch. Which for me consisted of Quorn Loaf, Sprouts (Tiny little balls of evil :s), Roast Potatoes (Om nom nom nom!), Peas, a Yorkshire Pudding and Veggie Stuffing.

Tonight I'll be making myself Spinach, Potato, Leek, Spring Onion, Pea, Cabbage and Lentil Soup to make up for the indulgence yesterday.

Now that will be scrummy - I LOVE homemade vegetable soup, comfort food at its best and also healthy!

But just think - the pounds will just fall off when you start to behave again next week!

In the meantime, just enjoy and have a great time!

Yep, I did the china buffet today. So good, and so cheap. It was delicious. I like this place in particular, because they also have sushi. I'm not sushi's biggest fan(I like it, but don't think of it, as being "dinner"), so having just a few pieces, satisfies my sushi desire.

Wish I could come and hang out with you in Nashville some time!

TN is one of the States I haven't yet visited!

That's SO funny, that you both feel the same way. I love sushi, but it's just not filling enough, to earn the title of DINNER!
Sushi, appetizer be thy name!

Today, I'm thinking Rotiers, a Nashvegas tradition(it's been here 70ish years). It's sort of home cooking, plus seafood. They're known for their hamburgers....everyone says the best on in town. I.wasn't.impressed. But I go for their fried chicken gizzards and livers plate. The combo isn't even an option on the menu, but they combo it for me! Substitute onion rings for fries, and a salad with blue cheese dressing! YUM! Oh yeah, and it's only $8!

Although I've been thinking about trying the fried oysters plate...we'll see....
Wish you were both here!

Home cooking plus seafood and prices around $8?? Oh yes!

As for the fried oysters platem that sounds like something that could be featured on Man v Food - the best tv show ever - so try it, try it (adopts slightly sinister cheer type whisper...)

Today I had a couple of realllly good toast beer sandwiches with mustard. That's what leftovers are for! I'll need something else later though,

Man V Food is probably one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen on television. It glamorises flagrant greed and the waste of food that is so desperately needed by so many people for the sake of defeating some shi*tty little ego trip challenge. It makes me sick.
