I love the way his face becomes sober with concentration as he is tuning the guitar and the way he puts his ear down to listen (good thing he hasn't suffered hearing loss like Mick). There's a grace and elegance in the process.

i thoroughly enjoyed having dinner with you, london, and - i thought i would never say this - but also HejiraNYC! (let's just say that his snippy posts during the afternoon were not making me very happy and i was looking forward to letting him know that before i had a chance to actually meet him) - plus we even found out we have couple of things in common...
Oh, admit it, you were simply entranced by my undeniable charisma and magnetism. But seriously it was fun getting to know you- one of those "Lindsey fans." Just goes to show you that chiffonheads and buckheads can coexist peacefully.

I totally feel the opposite way. The album version does nothing for me, but there is something a little mournful, even elegiac about the solo acoustic version. I think it's translated better to the stage than any of his other new songs.

As a seasoned, iconic musician, it must have been rather uncomfortable to sit in front of an audience and go through "the process" like that; it's sort of like an opera diva singer doing scales before an aria. And this is one of the reasons why Joni Mitchell rarely toured- because all of her songs were in different tunings, she found the logistics of playing a full set to be a nightmare of complexity. She would literally build her set around groupings of songs that were in the same tuning just so that she didn't have to re-tune in between each song.

HEIJRA NYC --

Freakin' Awesome!

Thank you soooo much for the balls to record it, the incredible muscle dexterity (must be lots of workouts in the gym) to hold the camera steady AND THE FORESIGHT to have the camera at the ready....to aim and FIRE.

BTW....Put me on that list of people who love you...

LOVE the interviewer's comment about "catching Lindsey in a rare, spontaneous moment.... so relish it-- even if he doesn't"!

He clearly knows LB well!

I doubt it. Up close and personal, the guy has wrinkles.

I don't think so, because his head looks pretty hard. I mean, it seems to be all bone/skull and no room between bone and skin for much filling.

Plus, he has a lot of movement and creasing in his forehead when he is talking and making various faces.

a-ha - and he actually seems to smile a lot in person (or at least he did last week) - then again why wouldn't he when everybody was fawning over him and his music?
