Default Round 1 Eliminations: Heroes are Hard to Find (Part 2)

(Apologies for the late post. Was out the whole weekend.)

This is the tenth poll for the Fleetwood Mac Song Contest (1970-1974), which is the second half of the Heroes are Hard to Find album. I changed the post title to "Eliminations" to make things clearer.

***Reminder that you will vote for which songs should not be included in the definitive list of songs for this era.***

Poll closes in 4 days.

It's not a matter of "not liking" the songs, it's a matter of "do I think of these songs in the overall output of Fleetwood Mac from its beginning to now?".

With the exceptions of "When You Say" on Then Play On & "(I'm A) Roadrunner" on Penguin, it has been excruciatingly difficult to vote for ANY song, since I like a vast majority of the material.

I'm starting to see a trend of people voting off quite a number of Bob Welch tunes. That saddens me since it was his tunes that kept Fleetwood Mac going in those "between years". I'm starting to suspect that people who are voting off those songs in most cases either aren't familiar with the material they're voting off or are just NOT voting off Christine songs because she was one of the "fireflies".

If I were to compile a list of Welch's essential tunes from 71-74, the list would be partial but considerable:

Lay it All Down
Future Games
Sentimental Lady (the superior version)
Night Watch
Revelation
Miles Away
Hypnotized
Emerald Eyes
Keep on Going
Angel (live preferred)
Bermuda Triangle (live preferred)

I also love Bright Fire.

Christine wrote less. Much less. But her limited output was generally more consistent.

Show Me a Smile
Spare Me a Little
Remember Me
Dissatisfied
Did You Ever Love Me
Why
Believe Me (live preferred)
Keep On Going (Welch's tune made great by her vocals)
Bad Loser
Heroes are Hard to Find
Prove Your Love

For me, the number is the same.

I noticed how not a single Christine song has been eliminated so far as well. But I checked the list of songs still remaining and there are a lot of Bob Welch tunes. Quite a handful of Danny Kirwan tracks as well. Bob just happened to write a lot more.
