Default Midnight at Manchester

I was just listening to this for the first time in ages and remembered the lovely bluesy intro that Christine plays for You Make Loving Fun.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Gail

PS My copy has a picture of Big Ben on the front! Hello - Midnight at Manchester

What's Midnight At Manchester? Are you referring to the 1990 Manchester bootleg?

Yes I think it's also called Next Stop Maine Road - I imagine it's the same one.

OK, I've heard of that title. I've even seen that bootleg on eBay. I have it too, although I got it in a trade.

There are 2 unusual things about that bootleg. Stevie dedicated Lanslide to John Perfect, Christine's brother. And, she messed up the lyrics on Gold Dust Woman. She sang "Take your Silver Spring" instead of "Take your Silver Spoon."

I'll have to have a listen to the bluesy intro to "You Make Loving Fun" again.

Yeah sure. By the way, you don't happen to work for the company that makes those darn hobnobs? You've given quite a few online plugs for those chocolate hobnobs these last few years.

In my own defence I didn't bring them up this time.

It was all Homer's fault!

I do see it as my mission in life to get them into as many posts as I can.

Incidentally I used to live near the United Biscuits factory which made McVities biscuits but I don't think they made hobnobs at that time. They did however make chocolate digestives which are scrummy. Some of my friends had summer jobs there and apparently they let you eat as many biscuits as you liked! the theory was that most people ate loads of them at first and then couldn't stand the sight of them for the rest of their lives!

Because he was at the show...She dedicated Landslide to him because she said, "We haven't seen him in such a long time & we love him so much".
