Stevie can't possibly need $100 million to ensure her comfort and care in her elderly years. If she doesn't have enough to live on until she dies already I'd be pretty shocked... Did LB sell his catalogue? Was she able to get more for hers? Old petty competitions never really die....
He hasn’t and I really hope he doesn’t.

Years of cocaine addiction leading to heart damage? Seems like a valid answer, doesn't it?

Hahaha.
My favourite Bob line is ...Are you rollin’ Bob?..
not sure if he said it, I think it’s somewhere on Nashville Skyline
My husband, Robert, loves Bob
So I say it a lot

She'll be just fine with her tax increase...most people would retire for 30 years on what her investment returns probably net in two weeks time.

Yes, I saw that on my news alerts this morning. I thought, “Jondalar was right!”

But the years of cardio, aerobics and ballet as she spun, kicked and twirled her way into hearts kept her fit. Her Aunt Minnie never had that going for her.

These are good, but I've made a small tweak:

Best Buy Best Buy

Well....Its all right its all right
To be standing in the black Friday line
Standing in that line
If Stevie rewrites this jingle, I fully expect her to mishear and change it to standing in a magical place named Blafadaline. (See: Emmeline, Seven Wonders)

Yes, she did. And she was happy with the proceeds. She did not, however, sell her likeness or image. Not that anyone was asking for it at the time...

Most of the big-name stars have sold their songs, many have sold their image/likeness. The big news here is that Stevie was able to do it sans Fleetwood Mac, thereby cementing the power of her celebrity and her iconic status as "Stevie."

I have a sudden urge to listen to the Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie album.

yep. I still have a cassette of one of her radio interviews somewhere (done in the late 70s) in which she talks about her goal being to become a "beloved figure in the history books" of rock and roll.

She's done it.

Hype is always better remembered than substance.

The thing is, she leveraged that actual talents of so many other people to accomplish her goal. First and foremost among them is Herbert Worthington. His adoring photos of her are *STILL* the ones that are pulled out and used in profiles of her in print and on tv. They are such a key foundation to her image and without them she would not be seen the same way. Very few of her later photos come close, with the exception of the rooftop photos done by Neal Preston. Not to mention the managers, producers, stylists. She has a real skill in charming and flirting and convincing important people to help her by doing a lot of the heavy lifting for her, starting with LB, then Paul Fishkin, Danny Goldberg, Jimmy Iovine, Tom Petty, etc.

I imagine the amazing popularity of the Dreams Cranberry juice meme gave her side leverage in negotiating the sale.
