SN: Schedule Horrific; Nearly Killed Them All
[This was posted on Sioux Falls radio website, I suppose it is excerpted from an interview I have not found yet. I am relieved that they all didn't die.]
http://www.b1027.com/index.php?optio...6192&Itemid=74 The schedule for the first leg of Fleetwood Mac's Unleashed tour in March and April was "horrific," according to Stevie Nicks. She says they had only a few days off and that it "nearly killed all four" band members. Promoter Live Nation has worked more off-days into the second leg, which now runs through late June. |

To me it looks as if the may-june schedule has not a day more air than the march-april schedule. Even worse?

Good Lord that woman is sucha damn whiner! Is she EVER happy or satisfied?? Working 3 hours a day, every other day for a month stretch would sure wear me out too.

Lol, she's a bit a drama-queen, isn't she?

Uh....
I dont think you are taking into consideration the press they are doing, traveling back and forth between hub cities each day, rehearsal time, voice coach time, etc. And from your recent posting history, you have no room to talk about whining...lol!

Finally, I think, they understand Christine's feelings about touring.

It looks like May is jammed packed with dates though. Doesn't sound like Stevie is very happy about touring...hmm.

well, there was that 6 in 8 night stretch between Washington D.C and Toronto1 March 10-17. I'm not pretending to know exactly what they deal with, but I went to all 6 of those shows, on the Greyhound, some with 2 nights with 0 sleep and I'm still alive. But then again, Im nuts anyway...

Here we go. She's not even going to wait until after the tour this time.

I understand that Stevie bitches a lot. I've come to accept, even expect, it from her. But here I have to agree with her. These people are kind of up there in age and I imagine, given their lifestyles when they were younger, some may not be as resilient to consecutive days or standing/moving under large lights, belting tunes out, flying from one place to another. When you get old, these things do not become adventurous or exciting as much as just a pain in the a$$.
However, if any of them would complain I would expect it more from Lindsey. He's on the stage the entire time, running around like a madman, cutting up his fingers, singing, and then still having to deal with the responsibilities of having a family. He's got to be tired. But still...Stevie's complaining has like another appendage. It's always going to be there. I find it sort of endearing at this point...well, at times.

Then don't sign off on the dates, Stevie.

BB King plays over 250 dates a year, EVERY year...and he's closing in on 90 AND, he's diabetic. Now, what's Stevie's bitch?? She has to go on tour for 100 shows every 6 years?? Gimme a break.
Just shows who has "paid their dues" and who hasn't. You CAN be a "mega-star" and still have a ton of "back dues" left unpaid.
