First let me thank you for taking the time to post those pictures. And you don't get mad, another thing to thank you for. If someone looks at pictures of Cosmo and Lindsey side by side, especially when their hair is of same height the resemblance is uncanny. More so back in the 90's when Richards was playing Cosmo, and Lindsey was rocking that hairdo. Elle, The similarites are more than just physical. Richards is probably the best physical comedy actor since Don Knotts. Almost that same spastic energy that makes Lindsey such a good concert artist. Watch Seinfeld, and then watch Lindsey running around the stage. Twins seperated at birth I'd say. How funny would it have been if Lindsey had got to play Cosmo's brother on one episode of Seinfeld? |

i like that - spastic energy. don't think that's what people refer to when they compare them (it is really just the hair everybody seems to see ), but you may be onto something there...

the references to his looking like Art Garfunkel refer to the younger Art, when he was still performing with Paul Simon-- and the similarity is in the hair (and nowadays, the forehead)-- he was never as good looking as LB.

Now when they were younger, yes, both dudes had the fro look going. But even in his youth, Garfunkel's fro just didn't have the bouncy allure and texture of LB's. But the youth comparison makes more sense to me. I won't sneer at it.

Nico,
I get what you are saying but I think you are being too literal : ) People (perhaps only people of a certain age) look at Lindsey's hair, and the forehead, and it triggers a kind of "where have I seen that look before?" thing.. and then you remember... "oh yeah, Art Garfunkel's hair was kinda like that once". No one thinks they look alike now (!!) and clearly they didn't when they were the same age in the past... but it's almost like Lindsey-now could be the older version of Art-then.... (waiting for all the NO WAYs!) LOL |
