![]() To reply to a private e-mail in a public forum, as well...Easily do-able solution that won't make anyone crazy?? In rehearsals, dust off 'What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done For You".
Lose the whistles. LB:"She was a self-made woman" SN: "He was a self-made man, yes those two could really understand one another"...Trade off as much as comfortable, Lindsey do a fantastic solo at the bridge, keep it under 4 minutes. End with 'play back' (or is it 'plane back') lose the 'champagne' end. A 'new' song to stop the show. Not 9:59 like "Come" or dreg^ like 'Say Goodbye' (which I liked a lot, really) or (ugh) 'Goodbye Baby'. "The right new songs would have worked", tell mrmf. ^=kinder than dreck, which I don't mean. And really: the beginning of 'Big Love' and all of 'EFO' up until the two 'don't you know, don't you know' (s) then the 8 or 16 'bar' 'uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh' ending of Big Love. Oh, I know she won't. Rehearse it, anyway, you could be surprised. Mix up some tall cool ones. See what happens. Yes, well before Burbank in '97, back on AOL, Nikolyam, Kolya, Nikolaj, who the hell cares, yes The Dance, '20 year Anniversary Of Rumours', Vh1, #1, gazillions. Off to Hartford CT, the first show of the tour. Not at all. No, thank yewwwww. Not at all. Delusional? ** Well, "What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done For You" may not be Viagra for LB, it may be 20 years late, but they'd have fun. Some of us would shut up, some of us. Tick tock. Ya wanna be sorting this out at 70? Easy solution. Fun for the whole family. If ya can't find the demos, look on the Net. Ask someone on The Ledge. You can usually ask someone on The Ledge. 'Space Needle' could be brilliant, but I know is not the answer you want, and what's easy about it? Nothing. 'What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done For You?' Everything. I will duck the daggers. But there it is. So easy. So show-stopping and not even demanding! Everyone will feel like it was the hit it never was and it will fit right in. ** being delusional, like nostalgia, ain't what it used to be. Last edited by Nikolaj; 09-22-2009 at 11:16 PM.. |
