![]() Last week I receieved in the mail from a friend, Karl-Heinz, a 1984 Kolors live concert recordrd somewhere in Germany. I had only heard Katmandu and the Kolors album before this and was not expecting much. I was blown away by the bands tight percusssion and bass. The band cooked and played funk as well as anything out there. Peter was apparently under the weather but played well. They did funk versions of White Sky, Proud Pinto and stuff from the PVK era but with much more kick than the original recordings. I wish I could have seen this incarnation of the Peter Green train but it was a good one. If only he was his 60s self it would have gone into the stratosphere. As it was it backed him up really well and I would think that the folks got their money's worth for the ticket. I would guess that it was this band that went to Isreal during the Festival that wasn't
