I basically like your tag picture at the bottom, it just isn't supported by the facts. Just take a trip to China or read up on the former Soviet Union to see atheism's death toll. Nothing against atheism, but people will use any religion, or no religion, or any ideological means necessary, to rape, kill, control and oppress other people.

you apparently take offense at something I find hilariously inaccurate - Terrorism would exist even if religion never existed.

I would be fascinated to hear about how and why the subject of crazed atheist killers came up in the first place and who exactly asked about such an odd thing.

The AP story has been corrected elsewhere.
The shotgun-owner - referred to as "another neighbor" - is actually a roommate of the two women.
Bowman was drunk and did lose the eye.
There was also a history of conflict between the two households. Bowman filed an earlier report claiming he was being harassed, which doesn't excuse what he did.

Sure it would. You don't think some other excuse would be used to kill people? If it wasn't religion it would be something else. It's like blaming guns for killinjg people. In places where guns aren't allowed, people use knives or whatever else they can get their hands on. Religion isn't the problem, people are the problem.

it came up in other conversations where religion was blamed for killing people and someone asked me in I could find an example of athiesm killing people. Besides the obvious examples of Stalin and Pol Pot killing millions of people in the name of athiesm, more than religion ever killed, here was this bozo on the news.
