Default My Own Greatest Hits, single disc

I made my own version of the Greatest Hits, single disc, so I can give to my boss since she doesnt understand my passion for fleetwood mac. Its pretty much the green GH, with a few extra songs. Do you guys think I made a good compilation?

Rhiannon (single version)
Don't Stop
Go Your Own Way

Silver Springs (album)
Hold Me
Everywhere

Gypsy (combination of album version and box set version)
You Make Loving Fun
As Long As You Follow

Landslide (album)
The Chain
Dreams

Say You Love Me (album version)
Tusk
Little Lies
Sara

Big Love (album version)
Over My Head (single version)
No Questions Asked

This is about 78 minutes. Originally had "Peacekeeper" instead of "The Chain" Oh well

I think it looks exactly like GH '88 with three songs from the 70s. but since it is for your boss, it is a.o.k.

I can't make a GH package anymore because the VBOFM is awesome....except they should have had Fireflies and Farmer's Daughter included, but I can deal without those.

I think it would make someone understand why so many love the Mac, but I would include the album versions of "Rhiannon" and "Over my Head" instead because I think the single versions are overkill. Or I would include a live version of "Rhiannon," perhaps. I also think that the Dance version of "Silver Springs" might be more appealing to a casual listener, but all of this is arguable.

I agree that both Silver Springs and Landslide should be iive versions. Also, I would add SOTM and TAM. Storms was the one that started it all for me, so I would highly recommend that one, too. Oh, just hand her a copy of Tusk!

Well, your boss -- like most of us -- could probably do without "No Questions Asked." I would have taken that off and replaced it with "Seven Wonders" or "Storms" or just about anything else.
Other than that, looks good. This is the stuff that gets most people hooked on FM to begin with.

Looks like a strong compilation to me, John.
If you're trying to get someone into FM, I'd say those songs are a great start. Though I do agree that, while I love "No Questions Asked," I would have swapped it out for "Seven Wonders."

Oh cool, I think that must be the mix/edit I made... the one that Nancy posted on her site.

I just finished one for "Tusk" that I want to share, but the file's too big for my own site. I'll have to see if Nancy would be interested in posting that one, too.

That's a very cool "hits" cd to give to someone. If that doesn't hook them, they're hopeless! I love the Say You Love Me live on that Tusk live FWM album. But the regular version is good too.

Where did you find that neat pic of Chris, Lindsey, and Stevie, from Mirage, but with Stevie's head in a different pose? THat's really cool. Are there other outtake pictures from that photo shoot? Neat to see that!!!

I would say I'm So Afraid from the Dance. Also, I'd add Brown Eyes, Think About Me and Go Insane live from the Dance. I'd also throw in Stand Back and Beauty and the Beast. Maybe a live version of Edge. I wouldn't go too obscure right off the bat with either of their solo work, but those are good standards that would hook anyone that's hookable.
