Default When are they going to remaster Mirage?

Anyone know? I don't even have Mirage on cd yet, I am wondering should I wait for it? Or not?

I would like to see a plethora of new Mac stuff over the next couple of years. I would imagine we'll see all the Buckingham/Nicks-Mac-era stuff remastered over the next couple of years...including the long-overdue 'Buckingham-Nicks' album.

I would really like to see a re-release of the 1980 LIVE 2-cd set, but with more tracks from the Tusk tour!

Oh here's my wish list:

1) 1980 'Live' album remastered with new tracks
2) 'Mirage' album remastered with all the cut tracks
3) 'Tango in the Night' remastered
4) 1982 Mirage Tour DVD
5) 1979 Tusk Tour Documentary DVD
6) 'Buckingham/Nicks' remastered

and purchase 'em, Then you can use 'em to compare how much more dynamic the audio of the remasters will be compared to the original compact disc released versions.

At worse you can always use the original compact discs as "drink coasters" once the remasters are released

(Btw, I made my own remasters of "Live", "Mirage" & "Tango..." to hold me over until the official remasters are released. Just ran the originals through the "Surround Sound" option on my JVC system added some tweaking to the EQ and then finally burnt 'em straight to disc...Definitely increased the sound quality of Mirage.)

Let's face it. As a fan I'd love all mac albums remastered, with bonus tracks.

But I think record companies look for good sales, and with Mick interest for $, I don't think the Live album would be an option. He laredy got his "live document" from that era (as the DVD for the current one)

Mirage and Tango.. maybe. BTM, no way.
Tusk tour doc, who knows. It had to be followed by a good publicity or within a package of Tusk tributes or memories.

'Buckingham/Nicks',

Ok, once again, here's the scoop:

WB Special Products (nee Rhino Records) has already ANNOUNCED that they're gonna remaster the ENTIRE Fleetwood Mac WB/Reprise back catalogue.

Which is:

Then Play On
Kiln House
Future Games
Bare Trees
Penguin
Mystery To Me
Heroes Are Hard To Find
Fleetwood Mac
Rumours
Tusk

Live 1980
Mirage
Tango In The Night
Greatest Hits (1988)
Behind The Mask
Time
The Dance
Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac
Say You Will

The ones that are in bold have obviously already been done & released.

VBoFM makes the 1998 GH obsolete
SYW is so new, they won't be touching that one.

With every other catalogue remaster Rhino/WBSP has done, they've done EVERY album...hence the term "catalogue remaster". AND, they don't release them all at once, they release them two or three at a time. When they announced that this was going to be done, they said at the time, that they'd release the three most well-known albums (the three that have been released) first. Just hang in there, the rest are on their way...it'll probably take 2 or 3 years to get the entire catalogue re-released.

I didn't know that!! Humm,,,, I think I should read more threads!
Though I think The Dance is also a recent CD. It could be remastered but should be one of the last ones.

Can't wait to replace my old (bad) Mirage cd
