Thank you for sharing. This is really disappointing. We had a great Anthology cd package in 2018. I would have loved his "new album" to have been out this August. It's coming up on three years since his last studio album. I doubt this box set will "make money".

So, after a little digging I found the eight special rarities (as shown on the German amazon music):

Holiday road
Dancin' across the USA
Go insane (Extended Remix)
Slow dancing (Extended Version)
Time bomb town
Soul drifter (Radio Remix)
On the wrong side
Twisted

Slow dancing (Extended) can already be streamed...

And...it seems this compilation will be released in Germany mid-June

Nothing new for me here that I don’t already own . At least with Stevie’s box set her rarities cd was worth the purchase. (IMO)

I’ll be buying this. Before Christine died, I had made the decision to purchase any material that was rereleased, in the hope that more material would be forthcoming, such as a Deluxe Edition of Behind the Mask, or blu-ray editions of concert videos, so I’m happy this is coming out.

I’m sure I will end up buying it also with your point in mind.

iTunes mentions June 14 too, as release date.

This release makes no sense after the Anthology box set recent release.

I agree. And it’s over three years since he released “I Don’t Mind” and announced his new album and tour of 2021. What’s going on?

I must say that I am really enjoying the remix of Soul Drifter, having not been previously familiar with it. This mix brings to front some different parts of the song that had been buried.

The keyboards get pushed reveal a synth string pad from the late 80's or early 90s. Could be from the Fairlight II, but sounds a little more like a Roland or Yamaha patch from that time.

The bass part which shares some lineage with Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go for That" has been mixed further up and gives the song a more prominent groove.

The layers of percussion tracks get a little more simplified giving more prominence to the programmed snare and then the weaves of live and machine percussion come in an out with less obvious markings.

Some of the plucked sounds from the collection of stringed instrument tracks become less dominant, and the music box twinkling guitar sound gets to stand alone in distinct parts.

I adore the original version of Soul Drifter, but having recently discovered this alternate version, I am getting to hear the song in a new way that is pleasing me greatly.

He included Twisted, a song written by Stevie. I had preferred an alternative version, if any still exist out there, to fit more in the "rarities" qualification.

Would like to know how he decided to include that song.

Ugh. It feels like one of his "outreach to Stevie" nonsense moves.....Appeal to her ego or whatever.

I think it was chosen because having Stevie's name in his advertisement for this set will help sell more.

And just as a fact, the Twister film soundtrack is not easy to find in stores. I'm guessing one could find it in a collector music store.

Soldier's Angel would have been cool but that's not a duet even though Lindsey's vocals are very much present. In Your Dreams is actually hard to find in stores now too.

It’s the song that effectively pulled his and Mick Fleetwood’s careers out of the gutters?
