Default Lady Video Poll

Interesting posts regarding the new "Lady" video. It has hit a lot of nerves with people including the announcement that a long-time "Ledgie" has decided to turn in his or her Stevie Nicks "fan badge." What do you think about the new video?

I like it I did not like the song but I like it with the video reminds me of an old vaudeville singer. and I really like the simplicity of just her in the red curtain

Lord knows, I can be a picky bitch, BUT, I LIKE IT! Call me crazy. I like the sparse feel of Stevie in that gorgeous, grand old theater. While there are some lip synching issues, the good outweighs the bad. Although the song was written in 1971 and clearly outlines Stevie's uncertainty of where her life was going at that time, FOR ME, the song now symbolizes THE AGING PROCESS. It's like coming full circle and ending with THE SAME uncertainty that you started with. It's rough, it ain't pretty, but it's real.

I love the song but the video not so much so I went with option number 3.

I like it. It's fine. Stevie doesn't like making videos, so it's better than nothing, in my opinion, but of course it could have been something different.

I really like it. It's not my favourite Stevie video, but it stands up against all the rest of them, at least to me...

It's got great imagery, but I kept waiting for something else to happen...like the curtains opening up to something going on behind her, shots to other scenes, etc.

Well folks. I loved it. I love anything she does. I am so happy she is still singing and loving it at this age. I am 64 and am glad to be able to still enjoy my favorite lady singing to me anything she feels like singing. Just me though. Not everyone enjoys things the same. What makes us unique people. Stevie fans, I mean. I have been enjoying her music and FM for many years.

I had to go with b. I really like it - the simplicity, the setting etc I just think something could have been added at points - a bit more of Dave even or just something to break up the sameness. As someone else said it could have been a lot worse, and this is much easier on the eye (and the brain) than Dave's fast moving videos. Also it does really suit the song. Overall I think they did very well with it.

I'm sure they haven't completely turned in the fan badge. I was pretty disappointed in the video. I could see what they were trying to do with the whole classical performance thing, much like what we're doing in college. But yeah I just thought the vid sucked. But I'm still a fan. This girl isn't giving up her fan badge. They'll be back.
