Default Songs you would freak out over if they played live.

I don't really think they will do any of these but that's not the point of this discussion.

Hold me: My favorite FM song. They haven't done it since 1982 and it was a big hit back then and they still play it on the classic rock stations.

Little Lies: I kind of have a feeling they might do Everywhere, they did it on The Dance and we've pretty much been getting The Dance tour ever since they just get older each time. Anyway it would be great to see Little Lies because we have never seen it live with Lindsey, originally, he was in the song.

Seven Wonders: I don't watch American horror Story, but heard about Stevie's appearance.

Crystal: Great Lindsey song. I would hope they wouldn't use back up singers on this one either.

These next songs aren't Fleetwood Mac songs but they could kinda work

Leather and Lace: I know it's a stretch but maybe Lindsey could do Don Henley's part. Christine could play piano/keyboard. Lindsey could have some light acoustic back up on the guitar.

Frozen Love: Great song. It's just beautiful music, that song. They could do this instead of I'm so Afraid or Tusk or Not that funny.

One song with just Buckingham/McVie guitar and keys.. singing Great Day

I bet the arrangement they come up with would be stellar!

A couple ideas come to mind:

1. A surprise out of left field show stopping opener. Think About Me would be great with an extended opening riff.

2. A mid show interlude/medley of the band's past would be just amazing. Coming Your Way/Morning Rain/Station Man/Hypnotized/Bare Trees and/or Child of Mine/Green Manalishi.... It goes without saying Oh Well would be in the general set list spanning the band's entire catalogue including Mirage/Tusk and Tango in the Night.

3. Only 3, yes, count em 3 songs from Rumours: The Chain, Gold Dust Woman and Go Your Own Way. Dreams only if they change the arrangement and Stevie sings it in a softer tone. Otherwise it must go.

Please, please no solo songs !

Any pre-1975 FM songs

Any 1988-1992 FM songs

Any LB solo songs other than Go Insane

Angel (Stevie song)

Hold Me

Isn't It Midnight

Little Lies

Never Make Me Cry and/or Honey Hi and/or Brown Eyes

Any LB Tusk songs besides the title track (really, any Tusk songs besides Tusk and Sara -- even a repeat of SOTM and Not That Funny 2013-style would be exciting to me)

Come

Mystified

Eyes of the World

A Buckingham Nicks song (maybe an acoustic version of Races Are Run)

Any new Christine songs

Oh, I'd love that. Although Mick has to be involved. I adore that rythmtrack.

I still want to hear an uptempo I Don't want to know. Opener? Maybe they can axe Silver Springs from the set for it!

Sugar Daddy!

Oh, how I wish she would play/sing this bluesy number.

Other songs:
I Don't Wanna' Know
Never Forget
Isn't It Midnight (been a long time)
Angel (ditto)
Red Rover
Everybody Finds Out
Frozen Love (why not?)
That's Alright for Me

I'd of course flip to hear three-four new songs as well.

I am obviously coming into this discussion quite late so sorry if I repeat other people's ideas a lot. Haven't read the whole thread.

Songs I would freak if the Fleetwood Mac five-some played them live:
- Don't Stop. For someone like me who has never seen Fleetwood Mac live before? Wow...to see it with Christine McVie on the keys and singing lead with Lindsey would be heaven.
Pretty sure that I'll get my wish on that one - if I can afford the concert ticket and flights to America - you lucky Yanks!
- Next: Landslide - one song (unlike Dreams) that Stevie still sings very, very well.
- The Tango in the Night mini-set idea. Not the whole album necessarily. That's 12 songs (half a setlist) gone in one shot. 6 TITN songs:
Seven Wonders, Little Lies, Isn't it Midnight, Big Love (united band effort!!!), Caroline, You and I (parts I and II) if Lindsey and Christine's vocals can manage the strain of an 8 minute duet.

-Steal Your Heart Away, Bleed to Love Her, Thrown Down and Everybody Finds Out, plus You Are or Friend (from Christine's ITM solo album - but performed as a band song).

My last advice to the band even though I know they are not reading this and would never listen anyway is: Cut the filler songs! Christine would understand what this means - she talked in 2004 about her ITM album being great due to lack of filler (I watched the vid last week).

Don't play:
Dreams is not a hit anymore. It was a hit in 1977 -Stevie come on your vocal range has tightened! You've lost the ability to sing Dreams well - just that particular song.
Everywhere: look sure lets take advantage of the opportunity offered by Shetland pony in the 3Mobile/Vodafone commercial! But if it's a choice between Everywhere and Little Lies/Isn't it Midnight both of the later two should prevail
Big Love solo version: that would send the wrong message. The message to send to us fans is: we are a united team who love working together lovey dub dub etc.
Silver Springs: this used to be my favourite song, honestly. Someone wrote on this website the other day, jokingly, that Silver Springs should be dropped for I Don't Want to Know. The more I thought about it, I actually agreed. Stevie can't sing Silver Springs like she did in 1997 or 2003, let alone when it was recorded in 1977
-Do something interesting with a few of the staples. Eg this 1987 remixed studio take of Little Lies adapted to a modern, Live setting:

Lindsey in developing this setlist with his colleagues, should look to their latter back-catalogue of work because this will mean avoiding rewriting songs in different keys for all three singers (not just Stevie and Lindsey...Christine's voice is probably in the best shape but she has been and as a far as I know still is a smoker...).

If Fleetwood Mac takes one thing on board from all the noise us fans are making: focus on your latter back-catalogue. Do a good chunk of TITN - at least 6 maybe more songs. Do a song or two from The Chain boxset. Does the band know how well The Chain - 25 years (1992) is selling in my home country right now, in 2014? It hit the top ten in the charts recently - and stayed there.
So: I think I will cut this post short and start a new "This setlist would be the best one ever - who agrees?" thread because this band, while very talented, are also very silly people. Read your fanbase, ask them what they want and act on it. Not just if your name's Lindsey by the way.

Here's to exciting times ahead in the music industry,

secret love.

The "fans" want to hear the hits. The majority of the people in these arenas will be casual fans not die hards. They don't stick to the hits because that's what they prefer to play....and if they do prefer to play them it's because of the response they get from playing them. It's not indifference. Not only that, but they're definitely not going to really shake it up when to them and I'm sure most of the people in the arena, adding Christine into the mix is change enough. They've pretty much said as much.
