![]() I like most of the following artists' earlier work, but do not like the direction their current work is going in.
-Lady Gaga-post The Fame Monster -Miley Cyrus (not because of the VMAs, generally have never liked "her material" -Justin Timberlake -Taylor Swift-something about her attitude puts me off. -Any kind of rap that is mediocre and deals with shallow subjects. -One Direction (Although Little Mix, their female counterparts, are quite good vocally) -Cher Lloyd -Justin Bieber -Heavy Metal/Hardcore -Most Classical music -Christian music (Not the hymns or gospel which tend to be quite nice). Asian Music J-music: -AKB48- just fanservice, fanservice, fanservice. -Everyone in Hello! Project except for Morning Musume K-music: -2ne1 at the moment -anything super cutesy and aeygo |

![]() I liked and respected Michael Jackson's music up to Thriller, liked a lot of other Jacksons music as well, just didn't respect them as people a lot of the time. But Stevie Wonder has always been a great person and creator, I feel we are so lucky to have had him in our world (and Smokey Robinson and James Brown as well).
Hate? Really stereotypical '90s-onward country-pop with the cowboy hat being kind of the only tip off that it's country. The stuff that seems like a computer with a formula cranked it out for a certain lowest-common-denominator demographic. How does that junk actually keep selling? They have their own ghetto stations and tv channels and hit artists you've never heard of before (kind of like the praise and worship 'christian store' ghetto). Those people who get booked for Nascar and football game appearances. Hate hate hate, go away (and take thirty years of female degrading gangsta rap with you please). I hate that 'industry' stuff so much I don't want to remember never mind speak/type any of the names. Rant mode ended. |

![]() ![]() ![]() For me, it's got to be Rhianna. I cannot stand her. Her voice, her songs, her attitude - all of it sucks big time. She's also everywhere all the time...GO AWAY, woman!! She seriously makes me want to scratch off my own ears to avoid listening to her. I also really strongly dislike Taylor Swift and Lana Del Ray. The latter of which has to be one of the dullest, fakest people on the face of the planet. And her entire album sounds like one, long, monotone song from start to finish. I really cannot abide N Dubz or Tulisa either, but I don't think they're very well known outside the UK. A few controvertial ones: The Smiths, Coldplay, Madonna post-Ray of Light, Marilyn Manson, Lifehouse Last edited by TheWILDheart; 02-15-2013 at 07:02 AM.. |

![]() Probably the two that are the most popular that I dislike are U2 and Dave Matthews Band. Matthews' voice is incredibly annoying to me.

![]() "Begin again" is simply and by far the most beautiful new song I have heard in months. I would have never thought, too, that I would be considering buying a Taylor Swift record. ![]() Stevie likes her, by the way! ![]() |

Now I have to take out a loan to get FM's Rumours set. I have not heard much of Taylor's new CD yet but I will check it out soon.I always like her stuff even with a edge. I refuse to buy MP3 file music from Icrap and Amazon.I rather like to have the CD in my hands. But the way things are going .The CD's probably will be history like VHS,Vinyl and cassettes. I wish they released IYD on vinyl.

![]() - 99% of current pop/rock whatever-have-you. Which includes Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, etc.
I will however give Bieber some credit. He has some talent, although I don't actually listen to his music. I've only heard a few songs. - Don't like screamo. Gets annoying fairly quickly. - Half or most of those emo bands. - Otep. The chick sucks. - Of Monsters and Men.I am getting so sick and tired of hearing "Little Talks".And the way the chick sings gets on my nerves! And basicly any band that has singers that sound like that, I don't like. Sounds like a meowing cat. Ugh! - Florence and the Machine. I want to like them but there's something about Flo's singing that puts me off. - Tiesto - Most hip-hop and rap today. It's gone downhill. Last edited by Nickingham; 03-16-2013 at 08:27 PM.. |

![]() Bjork is a genuius. I also love Blondie. 2 artists listed there that I can't imagine my life without. Weird how we're all brought together by 1 band, yet our tastes outside of that vary so dramatically.
